Captain’s Log 2: Electric Boogaloo

Day 1

Where a road without end divides a sea of emerald and gold, there lies a creature that is not seen nor heard; not felt nor tasted. An elusive existence yet one which cannot, nay WILL NOT be denied. Its essence a merciless onslaught on the one sense with which it will allow its presence to be known: the olfactory! Oh that organ with which we indulge in the rainbow prism of fragrance, oh that poor wretched creature assaulted without reprieve by the stench of that creature that goes... moo.

YES! The cow! It is the cow whose odor relentlessly attacks my nostrils and stifles the surrounding air. It appeared as a torture as lasting as the parted seas and my lungs burned with the longing of just one gasp of fresh to escape the putrid wretch of the world I resided in.

It was the longest minute of my life.

Day one of our voyage and already I wonder how I have survived what passed and if I shall survive what is to come.

P.S. The first mate is alive and well.
