reasons why shadowgast would not get married:

Essek does not legally exist in the Empire, so the courts would not recognize the marriage

the Dynasty probably would recognize the marriage but Essek can't go back there cause of the whole treason and war crimes thing

while they both respect their cleric friends, neither of them particularly want or need a god weighing in on their relationship

changing last names would be way too much hassle for Caleb since he's been known professionally as Widogast for years, and pointless for Essek because he doesn't use his real name in public anyway.

they're both too introverted to want to throw a big party in honor of them being in love.

neither of them are huge fans of tradition, so getting married has no symbolic meaning for them either

About the kiss, or "lack" there of.

Did Aziraphale's gesture mean nothing? It meant everything to me. I won't lie, I was sitting at the edge of my seat wondering when they'd kiss and whether that'd be appropriate for the context. I couldn't help but thinking maybe it's better if they don't, still I yearn for them to be close in some way.

Then it came. Aziraphale brings his fingers to his lips, then he touches Crowley's and (here comes the moment that broke me) Crowley kisses Aziraphale's fingertips. That was sweet, gentle, genuine and honest. It wasn't a desperate, it wasn't a last resort like the every-kiss, dare I say it wasn't a goodbye either.

What if. What if, they knew, deep down, they'd find each other again after the end of all? What if.

P.S. A lip-on-lip kiss is not the only way to show love.
