i did not do this to show how i am ‘lying’ to men or anyone, it’s not about how you, as a man, should feel about it - it’s about myself.
to me your statement sounds as if the left side of this picture is something awful or horrible. and no, it’s not. it is my face - with and without makeup. and whether i chose to wear it or not is MY AND JUST MY decision. and when i do, i do it for myself - so that i feel good about myself - not for you.

Imagine how many people’s lives they ruined. There were probably so many women that went in there knowing they destroyed that test. Yet, when they got their results back…they had to be so confused and disappointed. Mentally and emotionally, that had to be quite the blow. Anyway, this is evil.

Figure skating is a surprisingly homophobic sport, in part due to how flamboyant that was. So much so that young gay men are openly harassed and gay women even worse so. Johnny Weir was repeatedly called Johnny Queer publicly by spectators, coaches, other skaters, etc. Judges were unbelievably harsh on him, even if he had a technically perfect program (which, he often did). Why? Because he was flamboyant off the ice just as much as he was on. Even though he never really came out until the tail end of his career, he never denied his sexuality when people asked either. He maintained a neutral voice, which everyone assumed to mean he was gay, and for that simple fact, he was shit on and harassed and scored low consistently. Broadcasters even went so far as to question his gender on public television and accuse him of being a, and I quote, “Tranny”.
Even commentators like Scott Hamilton would admit on multiple occasions that he was one of the strongest skaters in the men’s division but he wouldn’t place because he was too “controversial”. Mind you, this was in the latter half of his career. When he first started out, he won the Grand Prix twice, placed third at worlds and won Junior Worlds when he was still establishing his career. And the minute he came into his own he was rejected.
And you know how he handled it? He smiled and continued being himself. People would ask him if he would tone down his programs and he would actively refuse because he did not want to compromise who he was.
So for YOI to pay tribute to this skater that I have looked up to since childhood brought so many tears to my eyes. Try telling me that this show is fanservice or queer-baiting, I dare you. Because if you knew anything about skating and the politics behind it, you would know that this show is breaking down huge barriers, and not just in the Japanese culture, but an enormously international one as well. Paying tribute to an icon like Johnny Weir isn’t just a tribute to figure skating, it’s a tribute to the LGBT+ community, however subtle it may be.
This. So hard this. The longest-lasting iteration of the IUD is the copper variety — usually, Paragard, which lasts roughly 10 years. IUDs can be expense but pay off as a longtime investment. Time is of the essence here.
As a person with an IUD, I have Mirena, and I feel like I've become lethargic because of it. It also feels like I can't think as clearly as I used to. :/ However, if you have terrible periods, it can help stop or greatly reduce the number of periods you have. Mirena released progesterone (I could be wrong) or some kind of hormone like that. Paraguad has a copper coil, which is cool because no hormones, but that means you still get periods and if you have cramps they might be worse. If you decide to get one, it will be uncomfortable. Pain tolerance depends on the person. I had cramps a few days after it was put in. It's been a year, worth not having the periods, I guess. It can also make you feel hungrier, causing weight gain in some. Side effects are different for everyone. I would highly recommend using Mirena if you have bad cramps. Regardless of having sex or not. It lasts 5 years. The smaller IUD Skyla (smaller version of Mirena) Lasts 2 years. Paraguard lasts ~10 years. There is a non IUD birth control that's this tube that's injected under the skin. It lasts 2 years as well, but I don't know too much about it. If you plan or decide to get an IUD, please read about it, just to be informed. ALSO if you can't afford it, there should be some work arounds. If you're a student, your student health center might be able to provide it. That's how I got mine. Otherwise, some insurance might cover it and some clinics might have it. They can cost up to 700$. I don't feel like Trump has enough power to do a number of things he claims to do. It looks like the people are doing it for him. Stay safe, everyone.
