Actually, my way into the aubreyad is from a different route - I've always loved sailing and boats and the sea, and especially stories about journeys on boats that goes horribly wrong, heh. I've read a myriad of nonfiction about polar exploration and whaling trips etc. but very little fiction before the aubreyad -w-; i have read moby dick though, and somewhere deep in my tumblr one might be able to find some 10 year old MD fanart lol )

I've thought about reading hornblower, but honestly, considering what the aubreyad has done to me, I'm a little afraid... I will be too consumed by the boat men U_U
