Unpopular opinion about DeanCas in tonight’s episode
I see many people positive about the idea that Dean wouldn’t want to live in a reality where Cas… is not his Cas, his Angel, his best friend and more , the one who saved him from hell, the one with whom he shares a profound bond …
I’m sorry , i don’t think that Dean will just gonna be like : “No Sammy, I we can’t live in a reality where Cas is not part of my, our lives, i we need to fix this” for two main reasons :
1- Nope, That would be too Destielly Gay for Spn’ tptb taste.
2- Guys , this is Dean self-loathing Winchester we are talking about, did you all forgot about these :
Dean never stopped blaming himself for what Cas has become, he considers himself guilty for Cas’ falling, he is the one who corrupted Cas , who destroyed him, he is the reason why Cas is powerless, wingless , broken and yet he knows that Cas will still follow him to death and beyond , that Cas will keep suffering and dying as long as he is around him.
And he can’t bear the idea of Cas dying again.
He remembers that the last time it happened, he almost didn’t survive it, he won’t take that risk again.
I think that for Dean as much as the idea of living without Cas is painful, he would still prefer to see Cas far away from him, as powerful and majestic as the first time he saw him.
This is just my humble opinion, that being said, I would be over the moon if Spn proved me wrong and gave us the magic Destiel moment we’ve been starving for since 12.19
