So anyone else who thinks that the other gems just have never cared about Phos much? Or showed it if they did. The first like blatant care for them was after they had attached Lapis’ head and everyone was like ”Oh good they can test for a bit.” Which probably plays in to Euclase telling Phos they have a place in their future bc of course it’s gonna be effective since they probs never heard anything like it before. Even on the moon others are not listening to their apologies.

Yes, yes 100% to all of this. 

It is at times like these that I’d like to smack Cinnabar’s pretty head because their “somebody who is beloved even on the moon could not understand loneliness” is bs. Utter bs. Maybe Phos doesn’t “understand what it feels like to be lonely” because they suck at emotions and cannot really empathize with Shinsha, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t absolutely lonely themselves.

Phos is as alone as they can get because there’s literally nothing as excruciating as being lonely even when you are surrounded by people.

Cinnabar chose to be alone and now they are finding out that the gems may actually care for them. Antarc was alone because of their condition but they never felt lonely because Sensei loved them and the gems valued their work. But Phos? Phos grew up as an outcast and no one has ever spared them a second glance that was not of contempt. 

Being a bubbly extrovert doesn’t mean you can’t be lonely. Not everyone can be an emo loner like Cinnabar. And that’s just how gem society works and that’s why it’s dangerous: if you have no perceivable use, you are worthless. Phos has always been lonely because these gems are terrible at caring for each other and at acting like adults. They are children, literal children. 

The second Phos’ newfound power was no longer useful because they were using it against the gems, they became an outcast again. The second Phos asked for collaboration and for the gems to think about something that was not themselves for a split second they were alone again. 

Now, Cairn can talk about being selfish as much as they want. Phos hurt people, that’s a fact, but it’s not like the opposite never happened. Honestly, after everything Phos has gone through because of the other gems, they should all be grateful that Phos did not turn into a selfish, hatred-filled weapon or something. They are truly a kind child.

I think a refreshing thing about HNK is that the creepy villainous guy responsible for torturing gems for thousands of years and grinding them into dust is straight and cis and comes across as a weirdo for forcing a genderless rock person into gender roles when none of them know wtf he’s talking about.

People are really out there supporting cairn and aechemeas “relationship”

1. Cairn has no concept of gender and he is forcing it onto them and the negative gender roles

2. Cairn has no idea what a wife is, what it entails, etc. And Aechema is abusing that fact

3. Only validating feelings you want (obsession with Aech) and devalidating feelings you don’t want (past memories of gems, ghost, phos, etc) IS MANIPULATION

4. A date is parading Cairn around and separating them from all the other gems to further manipulate them emotionally

5. Ichigawa uses contrast very effectively and with purpose, if y’all don’t see the issues with the contrast between characters settings etc then ??????

The main point is the Aechemeas main methodology is the fallacy of ignorance (appeal to ignorance) which is a flaw in logic that depends on the absence of knowledge to its contrast

Ie. X is true because you cannot prove that X is false

Aech relies on this fallacy to manipulate the gems; it’s seen with cairn, phos, padpar, and other lunarians. For example, he doesn’t tell Phos the full truth about restoring gems, he doesn’t provide information and relies on that lack of it to make his point
