I think it is canon that the gem placement on a gem’s body reflects their personality, with pearl and peridot’s personalities being driven primarily by logic and knowledge (head), amethyst being driven by passion and impulse (heart), garnet being driven by experience and connection (hand) and steven and rose driven by love and instinct (tummy)

To help kids learn how to read, all children’s TV shows should be captioned

To help immigrant kids learn the local language, all children’s TV should be captioned. I wasn’t really an immigrant per se but my English was bad and awkward until I was about 8 or 9. Before then watching TV with captions on helped me learn what normal conversations sound like and American phrases/idioms. Basically, I wasn’t really a native speaker until I learned English from captions.

I didn’t speak English a lot as a kid, but because of closed captioning, I’m able to run this blog with ease! 🙌

Pokemon GO Teams and their legendary birds

I just love the parallels between the teams and their bird, like in the original game red/blue, you had to wait until nearly the end of the game on victory road where only trainers who’ve braved all the gyms can walk, to find Moltres the fire bird, and that is Valor.

And to find Articuno, you had to push boulders around and through complex portals in a mysterious island cave to create a water current that would lead you to the ice bird, that’s Mystic.

And then there is Zapdos, who if you just walk around the power plant and explore a bit is just  chillin’ in the back like “sup”. That’s Instinct.

For some of the boys out there who are feeling insecure about their bodies, I want you to look at some Olympic athletes:

Mo Farah, 10000m gold medal winner. He’s quite small and doesn’t have huge muscles. But he’s still a champion

Lasha Talakhadze, weightlifting gold medal winner. He’s not skinny; he clearly has body fat and a rounded face. But he’s still a champion 

Kōhei Uchimura, gymnastics gold medal winner. He’s muscular, but is only 1.61m tall (5ft 3″). But he’s still a champion 

So what I’m trying to say is that men and boys are often given expectations to be muscular, thin and tall - the diversity in male Olympics athletes shows that you absolutely do not need to be all/any of those things to be valid. You and your body are valid no matter what.
