Fallout 2 comic idea: David dies horribly, but keeps coming back as if nothing happened.
Nerg and David get married, and David follows the chosen one like a love-struck puppy (much to the Nerg dismay), and when I say David follows him everywhere, I mean everywhere.
Including a Deathclaw camp where they were to escape the camp unharmed till David does something stupid (cause, of course, it was him!) In the craziness, David is left behind, and as Nerg looks behind him before starting the car, is David being torn apart by a mother Deathclaw.
Nerg and the rest of the gang speed off before someone important gets hurt. Nerg takes a deep sigh, wondering how he's gonna tell Grisham that his only son has died. Maybe he doesn't have to say to him, meaning there's no way he could prove he was dead or alive?
But before Nerg could think more about his new bachelor life, a familiar blue cap caught his eye in the shotgun seat. There, sitting in the passenger seat, was David, munching on a mutfruit with a dumb smile on his sunburnt face. Like, his internal organs weren't spread all across the wasteland desert a minute ago. Now his cuddling up to Nerg in the front seat with not a single thought behind his eyes.
This wasn't the last time. No matter how many times Nerg see David beaten, eaten, ripped apart. His there, right behind him, drinking brahmin milk without a care in the world.
The most horrifying realisation for Nerg is that they no way he can get rid of David. The only way his gonna get David off his dick is to divorce him, incomprehensible horror be damn.
Maybe after Nerg gets off his ass and finally divorces him, David walks away sadly and gets killed by a random gangster, but this time he stays dead.
