NEW FRONTIER CRAFT
I have officially made made the first version of a mod for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3, where I have decided to continue Minecraft my own way. Now I gotta figure out where I shall post it, and what I should do for the first video.
When I'm in the mood for adventure, I will code Dun Jun.
When I'm in my nostalgic Minecraft mood, I will code this.
They both will be pretty awesome together.

DUN JUN - MADE TO BE AN ADVENTURE
You knew my old game Vast. Interesting to see my own creation come to life, but there wasn't much to do in it. With that experience, I moved onto a new game I've had in mind for a while.
Here's the idea behind it:
Adventure style and/or games are the same over and over again. They can be fun and new for a time. But once you beat what the game has to offer, there's no point in playing it again. Why? It's the same story line all over again, same levels, same environments, same everything. I want to create something that is adventure based that can be played multiple times because it's not the same each time you play it from the start. This is why Minecraft EXPLODED. Every time you pressed that "Generate Level" button, a whole new adventure would unfold before you. Minecraft was your adventure, yet it was not adventure based, it was sandbox based, but it still gave you the spirit of adventure. This is where a major flunk came into play in that God forbidden update 1.8.1. They started to make Minecraft it's self into some sort of "adventure" removing that old feeling you got when it was just you and your world. It was a sandbox demented into a more fighting based game. That's not what you do to such a great game like that, when people are already rooted into it, you don't change it's purpose. So I wanted to make a game were it is built off of being an adventure, not starting it as a sandbox. Yet I also want to have that quality in it were it's different every time you play.

Stick ranger had the quality of combat that I really liked, but one major change I wanted to make was you being one of the characters fighting as to watching the AI fight and you coming the characters. Stick ranger also has that same game every time you play feel when you beat it, but yet I still find myself going back to it after beating it from having the ability to choose different characters to fight with from the beginning. Note that I have not incorporated this idea into my game yet. But the combat system is so addictive and fun.
Now with the ideas addressed, here's the game, it's called "Dun Jun."

The fix to the problems I have shown is by having an adventure game with RANDOMLY GENERATED DUNGEONS. I always loved the random dungeons in Minecraft, but they've gotten to easy for me. I've also come to love random numbers with Vast, using random numbers to generate a terrain. But it's not a sandbox, the random generation is for recreating a new environment each time for you to fight in.

COMPETITION FROM ANOTHER SERVER
So I don't want this to turn into a brawl between our servers, but this other server is relentless to tear down our peaceful server. I mean why? Seriously, Minecraft isn't life, your not going to win anything to try and grief a peaceful server. But they've put on a lot of pressure.
So now I need to figure out how to deal with it.
THE NEW FRONTIER
Has gotten us excited. It's a new, great idea that people would like to see quite a lot. Just like TO THE ALPHA. It's gotten us back into our old moods when we first started the server, and let's hope it says that way.

Interests versus my Duties
Running a Minecraft server with an old version has gone from my pride to my duty.
Yes, the server has been down for a while due to technical difficulties around every end. I've still been trying to think of new ways to run the server here, but there always seems to be some difficulty in the new idea. But do not worry too much longer, my desktop computer will soon be connected to the internet via a cable, not a stupid wifi adapter. The speed of the internet is expected to be much higher, so hopefully this takes away a lot of the lag some people experience.
But back to my point, I put the server up because people want it up and to play old minecraft together; to bring back the old days. But do I want the server to be up?
Not... Really...
So it's been my duty to run the server over me actually wanting the server to keep going. Sure I still get into these nostalgic moods, but my server hasn't really been the answer to that. The experience has turned into an argument of what people use to do in the old days. This is why I suggested our channel showing off other people's servers/channels/maps/etc on our channel too so then the range for what people enjoy is wider, and less work server wise on my side. I've also been wanting to drop my Skype's contact with many people, because once people get to know me on Skype, I go from the legendary TO THE ALPHA man to the guy that runs the server and doesn't listen to anyone, because I don't listen, I make slow decisions over time. Never immediately take someone's advice, that's my advice. It will make you a better leader over time, but when someone has access to instantly messaging you, their perspective of you will change.
So if I want to renew the experience of running the server, I would have to drop Skype, making your only way to contact me is either the server or Youtube. But even then, I might like running the server again but where are my real interests now?
Kerbal Space Program and coding my game, Vast.
Since the server has been down, I've developed Vast quite a bit. KSP I have been working on more, but I would pretty much have to drop the server completely to be able to really start producing KSP videos. The thing that's held me back from that is again, my duty is the server, and I don't have that many fans yet in the KSP realm. I'm not sure what our Alpha Minecraft fans would do if KSP videos and/or fans starting dominating the channel instead. They might enjoy seeing Vast continue but... I think they would probably leave, and I don't want to see that happen. The KSP series we've made has hardly caught fire yet anyways.
So what would I like to do?
I want to even out KSP and Minecraft, this includes making some sort of sacrifice on the Minecraft side. Like my older suggestion, we could show off others servers and spread the community out so it's not focused on our server, if we have one. We could also do me and Zexxon doing maps on our own, like we have had an interest spike in Vech's old super hostile maps. Something along these lines I would like to go towards. Currently the server and our output of videos has been a mess.

IT'S BACK MY BOYS. Still not on the old desktop, but my laptop has actually had better internet in recent tests.
It's cool in a strange way.
Hopefully, I can wire my desktop into the internet in the future though, that would have a much better speed. That being said, my desktop is still disconnected from the world.

New Idea
So it's actually been really nice not having a server, lifted a fair amount of stress and I've been able to work on things I've been wanting to work on like Vast, which has a big update coming soon! What's not going to happen is us saying we're done with the server, we'll have it running 24/7 for a week and then shut it off again for a little while.
But here's the idea, we could be a "hub" for the old days, continuing TO THE ALPHA on other people's servers for versions 1.7.3 and below, showing off different growing communities of the old days and we can unite all of them. And not just servers, but texture packs, plugins, worlds, anything. Then it's not only my server with the specific rules and plugins we don't allow, I'm sure people would love to see a server with people joining under their command instead. This would also let me build up the other things I've wanted to work on. Double win.
Server is down
My router that connects my computer to the internet has just stopped working. I don't know how long it might be until it's fixed or I get a new one. The laptop doesn't want to have a static IP address, so it's not able to run on my laptop either.

Herobrine...?
So we've had a reported Herobrine sighting, from someone I would have thought to be a more serious player. Her name is Jen and she would happen to be my friend's friend's friend. I hear she is just a nice person who isn't liked to much at her school. I was on with her for about an hour, and she didn't really seem to be too familiar with minecraft, more or less beta. But this morning, I read the logs of people joining last night and found this:

This was after a guy named Xray had left, but he was also a fairly serious player. So I'm not sure what happened here. Maybe is was some weird thing going on with zombie textures or something on her beta version.
Or maybe Herobrine was in early beta.
Either way, I'm a bit freaked out.
The Limitations of Time
There are a lot of other things I'd like to be doing right now if it wasn't for owning two Minecraft servers. Here are my current focuses on thing I am doing:
65% Schoolwork
25% Servers/Minecraft Videos
5% Music
3% KSP Videos
1.5% Vast development
0.3% Learning things I actually want to learn like Java
0.2% Other Small things like Art
And this is when I am productive, sometimes I also take a break but normally I am doing something and not watching some youtube video. I have about 35% of my time when I'm awake out of school. Sometimes homework can also really get in the way. But I actually don't really want to be so focused on the servers right now. This is what I WANT it to be:
65% Schoolwork (This is just unavoidable)
15% Server/Minecraft Videos
7.5% KSP Videos
5% Music
5% Vast Deveopment or start a new Java game
2.3% Learn Java
0.2% Other small things ike Art
Unless you guys have an objection, I might start to drift a little away from the servers, but I'll still be there to get rid of those who cause destruction to one of the servers, make sure I know everyone and hang out a bit, and to keep updating. But I really really want to start to focus in my backed up KSP vids and more ultimately my own game for you guys to enjoy. I have so many ideas for a game, but don't have the time to make them currently.

Changes in the servers
Slowly and steadily the rule of not spawning anything in the new Beta world has disappeared. So the Beta world has become the place for the admins to just freely build what comes to mind, which that also seems the best way to treat the beta world. The Terrafirma server has been made to peaceful at the agreement of that is the most realistic mode for survival. Since many people seem to think Terrafirma is extremely hard and which gets them really mad, me and Coolguy decided it would be best for the experience to make it peaceful. I mean there are no such things as Zombies, but it does take out the sense of defending your home from the wild, and the fear of night. This might change in the future, but I am not sure.
