Having thoughts about how Toph found people at the Earth Rumble who treated her as an equal and respected her for her skill and listened to her. How she became the Blind Bandit there and the first people to ever take her seriously were The Gecko and Fire Nation Man and the others.

And then she joins the Gaang, people who also treat her as an equal and respect her skill and listen to her, and she starts calling them Twinkle Toes and Snoozles and Sugar Queen and Captain Boomerang.

She's giving them stage names. Because gaining her stage name was the most empowering thing that happened to her up to that point. Because stage names are earned. Because the people who were kindest to her in her life (by treating her how she wanted to be treated) were people who went by things like The Boulder.

Just saw someone say Ty Lee is the "least dangerous" of the fire nation girlies which is why the creators gave her big wide eyes unlike Azula and Mai who have small eyes

Not only is that blatantly incorrect, it also fully misses the entire point of Ty Lee's character. Ty Lee is the most dangerous of the fire nation girls because she knows exactly where to punch you if she wants to kill you. She just chooses not to. She presents herself as non threatening, bubbly, cutesie. You'd easily underestimate her. But she can take out both Mai and Azula if she chooses to. In fact she literally did that with Azula, and Azula never saw it coming because she never thought Ty Lee of all people would do something like that. According to Azula Ty Lee would be both too afraid and too innocent to even touch her, and that became her downfall.

Y'all need to put some respect on Ty Lee's name. She's one of the most underrated and misunderstood character of the entire show just bc she comes across as ditzy. She's the biggest master manipulator there tbh

Ozai is so pathetic, like that “take his bending away haha he’s harmless now” trick would never have worked on Zuko, if you took his bending away he’d just grab his swords and come at you twice as hard, Azula doesn’t have swords or anything but she’s pretty good at hand to hand and amazing at talking her way out of problems, Iroh bust himself out of prison with no bending at all, meanwhile Ozai? Gets his bending taken away and then just collapses, doesn’t even try anymore, then just sits in prison and tries to get into Zuko’s head some more, he could have trained up and tried to break out too! But no! Bet he can’t break steel bars with his bare hands. Bet he can’t kick a steel lever in two. Bet he can’t even do a flip.

Also we never really see him do any really impressive firebending apart from when he has magic comet power, I guesss he shoots some lightning at Zuko, but that’s it and Azula is still better at the lightning thing. Azula has blue flames. Zuko can do firebreakdancing and bend with his swords. Does Ozai, who is not 14 years old, have blue flames? No he doesn’t.

He didn’t even do his coup himself, Ursa had to kill Azulon for him! Could have just challenged Iroh to an Agni Kai for the throne but he didn’t bc he knew he’d lose.

And then he only ruled for like 6 years! He lost a war that had been going on for 100 years bc of a bunch of kids.

The fact that Aang’s starts his story abandoning his people because he feels pressured and ends his story holding really tight to his people beliefs and culture despite being pressured by everyone to take the easy choice.

He says no. Because he learned his lesson. He wont abandon his people again come what may. We stan a survivor
