this episode has everything. tommy forgetting buck hates basketball. tommy being abby's ex-fiance. tommy calling buck a himbo. eddie insisting he's straight. the hot priest definitely not being straight but being celibate. there's a pre glee world and post glee world. josh knows his queer history. buck lowkey calling tommy a queer elder to his face. tommy breaking up with buck cause he won't be his last. eddie love actually stan. eddie shaving his mustache. eddie fruit of the looms. couch.

just had an absolutely atrocious thought
Notes are in complete agreement
I love you, Dean coded lesbians of Supernatural.
@inspochest honestly, you might have a point. š
Iām just gonna put this here. (Iām so sorry, but it was the first thought I had.)
We know Castiel is based on Cassiel the archangel but my favorite little headcanon is that he was the archangel Cassiel.
He was created as the angel of Saturday, patron of the vulernable and the overlooked, the angel of tears, angel of temperance.
But that was it, wasn't it? Castiel lacked temperance -- He could never be like the other angels, God hadn't created him to be a warrior like his brothers; Cassiel was a gift to humans, the angel of strife and duality, something so fundamental to humanity. The only angel who could really understand them. The angel who sat and watched, waiting to be called upon to deliver peace. Cassiel was God's love for humanity. How could God not know Cassiel would get too close, too involved with humankind? Maybe he did, but he could never know his own love would ever defy him. Maybe he could never know that whatever he burned with his divine love was also scorched with his divine wrath, enough of it to break ranks when he finally tired of watching Heaven play with the Earth.
So God punished him, bent him into the shape of a solider and named him the shield of God as a reminder of what his role had always been. But Cassiel was special, he would always be special, so he disguised Cas, protecting him from the persecution of the other angels. Maybe he even wipes it all from Cas' mind, gets rid of the memory of rebellion before Cas can hurt himself with it again.
And Castiel does it right this time. He stays just as detached as he needs to be, he protects only who he needs to protect, he does only what he is told to do. So God gives him another chance, another opportunity to prove himself with something big, the perfect task for his angel of the vulnerable.
Go fetch Dean Winchester.
What could go wrong?
endings that are better for dean than dying young and bloody:
opening a bar (as shown to be a fantasy of his)
opening a gay bar (my preferred ending)
working with kids, potentially at a home like sonny's
working as a mechanic, eventually specializing in vintage cars
becoming the new bobby, helping the next generation of hunters
being a stay-at-home dad with his husband castiel as the breadwinner (cas doesn't work either he just steals money from rich assholes using his powers and calls it being a breadwinner)
(he's with cas for all of these btw in case that wasn't obvious)
spending like a good decade traveling the world via angel express and enjoying his retirement from hunting
becoming a rock star with a cult following, a significant portion of which love sharing around conspiracy theories that he's actually a serial killer who faked his own death and started fresh with a new identity (no one seriously believes this)
becoming a sheep herder (it's the closest thing to a modern-day cowboy he can get. he gets to wear the hat and everything)
moving to hollywood and becoming an actor under the pseudonym jensen ackles
becoming a successful writer purely to spite chuck, outselling the supernatural series easily and receiving rave reviews for his refreshing style and devastating depictions of childhood trauma and breaking the cycle of abuse
building a space ship and searching the galaxy for intelligent life
literally anything other than what happened on the show
sometimes i rb a post and think āoh yeah that one mutual is gonna like this oneā and then i immediately get a notif of that one mutual liking the post. yeag
What is Supernatural if not a show about Dean Winchester hating himself profoundly and angel of the lord Castiel being like: no Dean, you're perfect actually.
silly <3
Counter argument: Immortal, invisible, malevolent mouse
Ring slips around mouseās neck and is gone.
The rest of the movie is just the 9 Nazgul trying to capture the mouse while the eye of Sauron watches an extended game of Mouse Trap unfolding before him.
to the enlightened mind a cowboy hat is a type of halo
