Sirius Black - Emotions in Motion

What was meant to be an easy little doodle turned into a full piece of Sirius heavily inspired by the cover of Billy Squier’s Emotions in Motion (1982). I was listening to the first track “Everybody Wants You” in the car recently, and couldn’t help thinking the cover looked like Sirius. Naturally I spiraled from there!

While drawing I had this idea in my brain that in the universe of “The Cadence of Part Time Poets” by @motswolo , Sirius would have this incredibly successful solo career after the band split up… so let’s go with that!

It took the rights of ATYD being sold in a 7 million dollar deal to revive the inner marauders freak in me… but in good news, it gave me inspiration to draw again! Been busy with grad school for the past however many months and have had no time to work on my art, so it feels amazing to be back (we are so back)(right guys?)(right?)

Instead of finishing my tcoptp art series, I bring you agony and despair inspired by wolfstar angst in TCOPTP and ATYD. Edited the text a bit and decided to repost. Enjoy!

Scenes are taken from Conan Gray’s music video for “This Song,” and the actual audio is from 10cc’s “I’m Not In Love.” I’m single-handedly spearheading the campaign to make this a wolfstar anthem!

The coloring is super messy and I added some weathering using filters on the app Prequel, but it does the job well I think xx

I’ve been going back and forth trying to decide if I should redo it 🥲 I figure if I really want to I can do another one after I’m done with James and Pete! Tbh I think I’m only so critical bc Remus is my favorite ehehe x
