Hello Steph! I'm so sorry for the belated birthday wishes but Happy Belated Birthday! Idk why it took me so long to tell you that so sorry again ^^;

But anyway um I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago and don't know why I didn't save it. I think it started with John returning to 221b after the whole Mary shooting Sherlock thing or her dying. I think it was after Mary shot Sherlock cuz I don't remember John being mad at Sherlock about Mary dying or apologizing for blaming him for her death. The only thing I remember is towards the beginning they are discussing John's failed marriage and how Sherlock, with no offense to John, will never attend a wedding again. John asks lightly that not even at his own wedding? Sherlock starts asking who'd want to marry him but cuts himself off, embarrassed or ashamed. John assures Sherlock that someone would marry him. That's all I remember. It's driving me crazy trying to remember! Please help! Thank you!

You know what I would love to see? A little role reversal in the Yard's reactions to Holmes and Watson.

No one at Scotland Yard is put off by Sherlock Holmes. Sure, they all know he's a little weird, but in their field who's not a bit strange? And he's damn good at what he does too, and he's really very nice when you get to know him.

You know who they are terrified of? Watson.

Because Holmes had found himself a flatmate, and everyone was prepared for the certain level of strangeness that must accompany anyone rooming with one Sherlock Holmes. But Watson is deceptively ordinary, and that's where the fear starts.

Because this man is a civilian, a doctor, he wears knit jumpers for god's sake, and he should be the everyman presence at the Yard. But any officer can tell you that Watson is the one you need to watch out for, because Watson will shoot a man at point blank range for looking at Holmes wrong, and then have a cup of tea about it afterwards and look at you like you're the crazy one. Watson once tackled a serial killer for no reason other than the fact that he could and no one had told him not to. Watson, early on in his whatever-he-has with Holmes, had arrived at an absolutely gruesome double murder and not batted an eye.

So yeah. The officers at Scotland Yard are absolutely terrified of Dr. John H. Watson.

It seems that many people, even in the Sherlock fandom do not actually like Sherlock.

So please re-blog if, despite all his faults, you genuinely like the character Sherlock.

I got triggered so I thought I'd make my own post about it lmfao. And nobody is gonna read this so whatever.

So I was in the johnlock tag as one does and saw somebody dissing the johnlock fandom (what a surprise) because someone else dared to compare johnlock to byler from stranger things. That pissed them off? and they believe it's ablist? um what? I haven't seen the last season of stranger things frankly because I don't care. I'm not a huge fan of the show. I found it alright but don't go to MY show and say it was a mess from the beginning just because you were dissatisfied with your ending. Get in the fucking club. They also said that there was never any evidence of johnlock being endgame within the show or marketing and like go ahead and tell me seasons 1-4 of stranger things showed any evidence of byler. I fucking dare you. And I bet it'll be the same kind of subtext level "evidence" as johnlock had. So go ahead and rip apart BBC Sherlock. We're used to it. But saying you're smarter and better than us for falling for the same queerbaiting trap and calling us stupid for it? Yeah fuck all the way off.

Hii!! I was wondering how the whole "Sherlock comes from old money" thing started. I was thinking about the scenes with his parents and realized that there wasn't really anything, at least that I saw, to suggest that theory. However, that doesn't stop it from being one of my favorite headcanons. Hope you have a nice day/night!! I wish every fandom had one of you, thanks <33

That said, I honestly think it's more context clues more than anything? I am not 100% sure if it is canon, but clues more about the kind of property Sherlock's lives on, the clothes he wears, the fact that he can pursue a "job" that seemingly doesn't always pay, and his brother's high position in the government (and possible spy agency) and the fact that Sherlock can pretty much get away with anything by having someone "fix it" for him is – for lack of better description – "shit rich people do".

It's also one of my fave fan-theories too, but I also personally believe it's canon in BBC Sherlock at least (again, don't know if it's actual canon but seems the context clues are there as well).

I've got some Rich Sherlock (March 2020) fics you can read if you need to enjoy that headcanon further <3 LOL

What if the Truman show did a queerbait arc but then they found out Truman was gay for real and had to recalibrate and their tv network would have to take a definitive stance on homosexuality, yay or nay in the late 90s and it's not like they can recast Truman. They would have to either plot him into an it's okay to be gay fake happy relationship like they did with his tv wife or try and scare him off homosexuality by doing homophobic gay misery storylines at him to try and keep him firmly in the closet.
