There's this one post I saw a while back saying that Jax is bad trans rep and getting ratio'd by the qrt stating along the lines of "If we get positive mainstream rep, transphobes will still hate us."

I like that Goose didn't decide to pull any writer's hack by redeeming and making the cast forgive Jax and making her transition in the end. Jax continuing to antagonize and alienating the cast instead of opening up about his issues and suffering the consequences for his own actions is the point.

People are so fixated on the fact that he's an asshole and not why he's an asshole.

That's the thing people don't talk about when it comes to trans mental health: Eggs are fucking douchebags. Why? They're fucking miserable and being miserable doesn't make you pleasant.

The process of going from Egg to Transitioning is messy, and most trans people have more than one person they wish they'd been better to in the process. But cis people, hell TMEs in general, are so quick to jump on trans women for any perceived wrongdoing at any point in time (need I remind you Courtney's original accusation was that I behaved sexually inappropriately with her when I was six and people acted like that was something to take seriously FFS) that we don't get to talk about any of this.

Do you think Baby!CD was a nice, friendly person when she was deep in the closet and being sexually abused by her sister? Fuck no! I was belligerent, angry, and actively behaved in a repellent manner to make people go away. My mantra as a teenager was "Leave me alone" because people antagonizing me was the main source of most of my interpersonal issues, so I just didn't want people around me.

This isn't just good rep, it's so fucking accurate it could only come from a trans woman.

If you're not a trans woman, keep your opinions on trans rep to your fucking self.
