Don’t miss this one. Nick Hakim’s “Roller Skates”.
Shot at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. An original.
“2nd Time Around” by Tuxedo
Can’t stop listening to this. Put the kids to bed. The Distance from Gavin Turek.
One of my most anticipated records for 2017. Gabriel Garzón-Montano gives us a little taste of the heat his Jardin LP will bring. Here’s “Crawl”. The LP comes this Friday, January 27th on Stones Throw Records.
Sour Mango, The Game.... now Crawl. One of 2017′s most anticipated records for me.
Gabriel Garzon-Montano’s Jardin LP is out 1/27 on Stones Throw.
Leif Vollebekk’s first offering from his upcoming February release Twin Solitude is “Elegy”. A perfect fit for where we’re at, where we’re going. Heartfelt and moving. Directed by Kaveh Nabatian.
"Trying Not to Love You” from Caroline Smith gets the video it deserves. Influences and personality, she shows it all here. Great way to go into 2017.
Really great stuff from the John Legend camp. Having Blake Mills take the reins on this record lead to some of his best work to date. The closing track on the Darkness and Light LP, Marching Into the Dark, is a fitting close and beautifully produced cut. Writing credits to Tobias Jesso Jr, Blake, and John himself.
Premiered today on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Show. Jamie Lidell sings about his new baby boy on the aptly named ‘Julian.’ All the love right here.
Jamie Lidell releases his new LP ‘Building a Beginning’ October 14th. He visited KCRW during his stop into Los Angeles and performed this feel good j “How Did I Live Before Your Love”.
Props to Daru Jones on drums, Owen Biddle on Bass.... It’s all so good.
NPR brings the Tiny Desk series to the White House. Common, Robert Glasper, Bilal, Karriem Riggins, and others spread love.
Undeniably great. "Meant to Be" from SG Lewis. No misses on his new EP.
From his new record, James Vincent McMorrow's "Get Low" performed live. Soulful overflow.
This has been out for a minute now, but Anderson .Paak’s Tiny Desk Concert is worth (re)visiting. It’s cool to hear how these Malibu cuts still work so well played low.
A light in the dark. Absolute beauty here from Moses Sumney’s “Worth It”.
Beautiful arrangement of a classic record here.
Ryan Adams is joined by The Infamous Stringdusters and Nicki Bluhm for a performance of his song "Oh My Sweet Carolina."
