cw gore + nudity

a magician who granted herself invulnerability by splitting her soul and binding the fragment to her familiar; a raven named victor (not pictured) the destruction of victor will break the curse and ruin would regain vulnerability to mortal death. the curse tethers the soul to the mortal realm and prevents the inhabited body from decay without requiring fuel or nourishment. sleeping and eating is only critical to maintaining cognitive function. ruin's body was ripped apart by her ex-coven members and was left for dead. instead of succumbing to the mercy of death, she survived in carnaged segments- with victor's help, she was able to eventually, slowly and gruelingly, stitching herself back together. as a result, she is functionally a reconstructed zombie. her skin is is blue-tinged and dull from desanguination and is clammy to the touch. her heart rate is very slow, her senses are slightly less receptive than before reconstruction, and no matter how much she eats or sleeps, she is drowsy or lethargic. weak combatant due to low stamina and general uncoordination, which was the case even before mortal death. ruin is a haphazard spellcaster. she struggles with conjurations, enchantments, and transmutations, some advanced spells have unpredictable results. she perfected a few charms for convenience sakes. creating a flame, for smoking and brewing. electricity zaps as a painful prank, to charge a device, or to signal her irritation. instead, her skillset lies in brewing. a prodigal potioneer and biochemist, she harbors the ability to create intricate solutions with an effect range from spiking cortisol levels to increase paranoia (worsening slendersickness) to causing just enough brain hemorrhaging to keep the victim alive but in a vegetative state (silencing). her ultimate value as a proxy lies in her experience with necromancy. utilizing her alchemical knowledge and a spark of electricity, the most impressive ritual she can perform is a resurrection assuming it doesn't end up a nightmarish distaster. [rough concept art]
