It’s tough to believe there’s a story out there so overwhelmingly sad that I have to stop reading every few chapters to find some funny MDZS fanfics and ease myself from this creeping grief.

If fortune allowed, he hoped that one day the person holding the flower could come here to see it. 

A hundred years, a thousand years, ten thousand years, as long as his god was still here, he would still keep hope that this presently empty city would one day be a place they could come back to together.’ 

I can’t believe the first fanart I’m posting for Heaven Official’s Blessing (天官賜福) is fanart for a fic rather than the original story. But it was so well written and emotionally fulfilling that I couldn’t help myself. If you can read Chinese, I definitely recommend this fic.

But anyway back to recommending the ongoing novel. It only has two english translated chapters out so far, but if you want to check it out, you can find it here.

Basic summary: Xie Lian is a god that’s the laughing stock of all three realms. Once the beloved crown prince who ascended to Heaven at a young age, he ended up banished from Heaven for trying and failing to help his kingdom when they were dealing with a rebellion. Hua Cheng is the most powerful demon who even terrifies all the gods. And he’s devastatingly devotedly in love with Xie Lian.

Hua Cheng and Xie Lian had their first kiss underwater. How completely extra.

The latest few chapters of Heaven Official’s Blessing (天官赐福) have me screaming into the abyss. Hua Cheng consecrated three thousand lanterns to Xie Lian. Three thousand. Not only that but the temple they were from was called ‘Thousand Lantern Temple’ meaning Hua Cheng fulfilled his promise from 800 years ago to build Xie Lian a temple. Get you a man who’ll build you a temple to worship you in.

The copyright for Moxiang Tongxiu’s Heaven Official’s Blessing (天官赐福 / Tian Guan Ci Fu) has been sold for a record-breaking 40,000,000 RMB (an equivalent of 5,900,000 USD). Just like Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, Heaven Official’s Blessing will be adapted into a manhua, a donghua, a live-action series, an audio drama and a game.

Which also means, roughly 2 years from now, when y'all think that you are over with the emotional turmoil caused by Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, a brand new abyss called Heaven Official’s Blessing will open.

And trust me, this abyss will wreck your heart worse than you can imagine.

I will probably grow old before 天官赐福 (“Heaven Official’s Blessing”) is completely translated, but I’ll give those 8 translated chapters a try.
