I wish humans had monkey tails (most likely tail we'd have ngl) because it would be so cute. There's an alternate world out there where people are dying their tails and buzzing patterns into them and getting tail accessories and tail piercings. God could you imagine
Does anyone else understand

Iâve been obsessed with this tiktok for days now
Person: "Hello sir." he pets the frog with one finger.
Person: "Have a good day. Actually wait a minute. You missed a bug, but I got you home boy. Hold on." he picks a bug up and throws it next to the frog.
Frog: turns around and eats the bug.
Person: "OHHHHH-" sings high pitched and angelic like he witnessed a miracle.
Would you rather visit? Every one of these is a real filming location, and the point of the picture is that you have already seen all four without necessarily knowing where you were looking.
1 Wadi Rum, Jordan. The Martian, Dune, Rogue One and The Rise of Skywalker were all shot here, which is why so many alien planets look oddly familiar.
2 Lake Como, Italy. Twenty six films and series in the atlas, among them Star Wars Episode II, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Oceanâs Twelve.
3 PernĹĄtejn Castle, Czech Republic. Werner Herzog filmed Nosferatu the Vampyre here in 1979, and Wanted and The Three Musketeers came later.
4 Marrakech, Morocco. Hitchcock shot The Man Who Knew Too Much here in 1956, and The Night Manager returned sixty years after him.
Every one of those comes from a filming location statement on Wikidata, so each place links back to the record it was built from. I made the map they all live on. It is free, with no ads and no signup: https://thefilmmap.com
Thank you so much, this is such amazing detailed work!! đ Iâm sorry I wasnât able to post it until now
society if ânonsexual nudityâ extended to trans women

One of the things that strikes me the most about Wake Up Dead Man is the portrayal of Grace Wicks.
Normally when a character (usually a woman) who starts the story being villified and villainised, just as Grace was deemed "the harlot whore" for 60 years, their redemption in the eyes of the story comes from the revelation that they were a better person than people gave them credit for. Maybe they were a good mother, or did their best in the face of the deck being stacked against them.
With Grace, we donât see that. I canât recall any instance in the movie of her being a particularly good person, or a good mother to Jefferson Wicks, or a virtuous woman as befitting her name. A lot of her actions are recontextualised to be more understandable within the story, yes, but thatâs not necessarily the same.
Grace is messy. Some would call her shallow with her focus on expensive brands. Sheâs unashamedly destructive. She probably wouldnât have wanted her fatherâs church where she was pretty much held hostage for years to be named after her, even if the Wicks family werenât in charge anymore.
And she STILL didnât deserve what Prentice Wicks and her family did to her, whether she was a good person or not.
There are no perfect victims. Trauma, shocker, tends to mess with peopleâs mental state a lot, and theyâre not always going to act the way people think they should. They canât always be, well, graceful about it- I dare say they canât be EXPECTED to be.
And people donât have to be perfect or even particularly good people to be sympathised with as victims.
And it didnât take anyone finding out about her secret better side or good deeds. All it took was one person - Vera - having a change in perspective, to consider things from Graceâs point of view and realise she never really had a chance to BE a better person, to plant that idea in the heads of the characters and the audience.
That poor girl.
if you can accept that there will be trans men who look virtually indistinguishable from cis women, than you can accept that there will be trans women who look virtually indistinguishable from cis men. either by choice or by circumstance. and if you can't respect them the same as you would anybody else, you need to examine why that is
Microaggressions against polyamory in interpersonal interactions are important and should be discussed, but I do wish more of the conversation focused on the ways that systemic amatonormativity impact things like family units, taxes, healthcare, inheritances, housing, childcare, etc.
I'm not dating or married or related to anyone I live with, and our household of four adults can't get any kind of financial or food or housing aid because we count as three separate households despite our semi-blended finances and living together for a decade. There are laws that have been proposed (at least, I don't know if any passed) that limit housing to nuclear families.
Amatonormativity and polyphobia are not just theoretical "people are kinda mean about this sometimes" -- they are real and materially impactful systemic issues, and they affect all of us.
they should invent a college website that works
have some of the compsci students design a functional website for their final project or SOMETHING
i bring a sort of âyou should maybe interrogate your so-called âpreferencesâ to make sure theyâre not literal textbook examples of severe unconscious biasâ vibe that my woke gay friends dont really like
what this post does NOT mean
go out and fuck someone you arenât attracted to because a stranger on tumblr said to
go out and date someone you arenât attracted to because a stranger on tumblr said to
Youâre Not Allowed To Be Gay Anymore
what this post DOES mean
if you just âpreferâ to avoid majority black areas of your city
if you just âpreferâ to read, write, think, and talk about men
if you just âpreferâ to socialize with people you (perceive as) your assigned birth sex
if you just âpreferâ to exclusively watch white-directed movies, read white-written books, listen to white-authored music
if you just unconsciously perceive men as more authoritative/competent and âpreferâ to be spoken to by them
this is a post about acknowledging unconscious bias. it is not a post about dating. please stop coming into my inbox and accusing me of rape apologism and telling me to kill myself. thank you

The subtitles do really good work at conveying tone and mood here, but it's worth having sound on just for the noise he makes when she gets out of it.
My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.
Shoutout to people in the notes also mentioning people learning the language, I should've mentioned that really, given that I've been stuck reading German picture books myself while learning German.
