Ori and The Will of The Wisps? More like angry bird versus ghost mouse 2: the depressening.
(My drawing)
Ori and The Will of The Wisps is the sequel to Microsoft and Moon studio's popular 2015 metroidvania, Ori and The Blind Forest. The game follows Ori and Ku (Kuro's owlet) on their involuntary trip to the island of Niwen after getting separated by a storm. So Ori must find Ku but in addition to that Niwen is experiencing issues not unlike those seen on Nibel and Ori, being the kind soul that he is, helps the people of Niwen out.
The game is a bit more like hollow knight relative to the previous game.
One of the cool things in Ori and The Will of The Wisps is that you meet a bunch of characters along the way
Lupo, the cartographer
Tokk, an explorer
The moki
And many others.
The combat in Ori and The Will of The Wisps is significantly better than that of the previous game. Rather than just spamming spirit flame you actually have to fight your opponents with a variety of different weapons and attacks (my favourite is the hammer), also with that there are actual boss fights as well as the escapes.
Also shout out to Gareth Coker a truly spectacular composer he did it again with an amazing OST.
Spoiler alert
The game is overall very good, but there were a few things I didn't like, such as I really didn't like the limited play time for Ku, I was expecting to have a fair few levels with her but really it was just one, and the end of her segment felt forced, like those making the game wanted not to have to do a bunch of work on making more Ku levels. And on that note certain parts of the game feel like they were rushed, but none more than the ending. I don't know if they were going for a tragedy, but the ending felt very unsatisfying and contradictory to the previous game.
All in all I give Ori and The Will of The Wisps a seven and a half out of ten.
