People get so fixated on the rehabilitation of convicted criminals. Nobody ever talks about rehabilitating law abiding citizens. This is because law abiding citizens are a lost cause. The law abiding citizen is beyond redemption.
Never stop hating
Listen I get it but you CANNOT use "sensory nightmare" as an excuse to avoid essential things. You HAVE to find a way to make it work, such as finding effective alternatives. But you can't just avoid it.
You need to eat some vegetables in your diet or you will become a lich.
You have to wear a life jacket or you will literally drown and die.
You need to be able to exist in public spaces with children.
You have to find a way.

itās genuinely fucking absurd that cis people have any goddamn say at all on trans healthcare
āoh yeah i mean im not diabetic but i dont really know how insulin works and i think its kinda freaky that you gotta poke your finger all the time so im gonna go ahead and say insulin is illegalā

Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.
I wonder how it feels to be a therapist or psychiatrist in 2026 and watch the despair of young patients and realize itās not attributed to mental illness but a rational response to the state of the capitalist hellscape world we live in
Iām not depressed because I need a higher dose of my mood stabilizer. Iām depressed because I spent years of my life working my fucking ass off to get a degree in biochemistry from one of the top universities in the world only to apply to over 100 jobs and the only one I land is one I hate every second of doing, the work is literally useless, and in spite of being there over 40 hours a week I still donāt make enough to pay rent. The food benefits I get canāt even feed a german shepherd. Iām 23 years old with a college degree asking my parents to take me grocery shopping so I donāt starve. Iām not upset because of my mental illness Iām upset because I work my ass off only to be broke and miserable
It's inappropriate and has potential to cause harm when you bring up someone else's trauma unprompted. I don't need to get jumpscared and dissociate into reality 4 inches to the left at 10am on a Monday morning because someone decided it was a good time to ask for details of my CSA. If a person doesn't bring it up on their own and hasn't SPECIFICALLY told you that it's ok to bring up, then don't! The nature of trauma is that it's distressing!
This applies to things as simple as asking what caused someone's PTSD / what their trauma is, too. Someone saying "I have PTSD" isn't an invitation to ask for details. If you really want to understand, you can ask if they're ok with talking about it before proceeding. Better yet, let them know you're available to talk about if if they ever want to. Pushing people into conversations about trauma is fucked up, even if you're well-meaning, and it's not the other person's job to satisfy your curiosity or make you feel better about it.
I don't get why this is such an unfamiliar concept to a lot of people and why they feel so entitled to others' personal business. I've had too many people find out I have PTSD and immediately ask me why, and not always in a well-meaning way, so much as treating me like. Idk how to say it exactly but like a Conversation Topic or true crime doc or something. Or even waiting to insert some "gotcha" about how I can't have real trauma or something. And then there's family who feel like I owe them details because we're family and they "should get to know." And none of it even works like that whatsoever.
Anyway it would be nice if people didn't cause me to switch or have flashbacks or have my day ruined because they couldn't bother to think before talking.
diversity win! the therapist who is contractually obligated to call the police on you if youāre too suicidal works for a šqueer affirming practiceš
There is no true self. We're all just metaphors.
Like we're always just trying to translate and interpret ourselves, for ourselves and for others, we're constantly narrativizing in totally contradictory ways. We're too complex, and any encapsulation simplifies to the point of total falsehood. The map can't be the territory, so every explanation is billions of lies of omission. Contradictory narratives are both true and false, perspectives and contexts shift even if the facts themselves don't blur and fade over time as usually happens.
You're too big to have a "true self". A true self is too small to contain you.
And for the lady, perhaps a MFM threesome where the guys are also a little gay for each other?
Like you do need to recognise sometimes that a person is not picking up your social cues and adjust your communication style accordingly. If someone isn't understanding you then you need to change up how you're communicating and not just say the same thing over & over.
