Two job-hunting resources that changed my life:
This cover letter post on askamanger.com. A job interview guide written by Alison Green, who runs askamanager.
Shout-out to @ms-demeanor for putting these on my dash again, I’d like to add this exceptional interview question “answer guide” that explains traps and “the best” way to answer over 64 common questions. I don’t know who to attribute it to, but here it is: PDF from tri valley one-stop career center.
Hey some of these answer templates helped J get an offer letter from her dream job; strongly recommend you read them if you’re job hunting

"Trans Rights Orange cat" Still needs binding With this complete I can truly say I am back in the saddle! Being a member of the trans community myself it brings me joy to know tags like this can exist around town in all their silly glory.
Beautiful Memories - 26x32” acrylic on canvas.
A work in progress for a big group show in LA At Thinkspace this April. I haven’t titled it yet as it’s still not complete. This is a big one at about 42x58” I think (need to measure again. :-)

Toshio Saeki (佐伯俊男), silkscreen, year unknown
this is a really funny example of online (presumably unintentional) misinformation that sent me down an interesting rabbit hole:
this is clearly not a silkscreen. that was the first thing that made me say “huh??”. I don’t know why it’s being called a silkscreen here or where that came from, this post is the only place where I can find it being called that. it’s embroidery.
the penis was edited on. if you reverse image search it, you can easily find versions without a penis and it’s obvious which one is doctored.
sans penis, the original is not even by Toshio Saeki. It was kind of hard to find the original source, but after a little bit of research I was convinced that despite the similar themes and aesthetic style, Toshio Saeki wasn’t the original artist, as there are no other examples or references to him working with embroidery. Eventually I did find the original post by the artist on instagram, confirming all of my suspicions. the only missing piece now is who made the edit. So, here’s a better caption:
Original by Jaide Lennox, embroidery, 2017. Remix by unknown artist, digital manipulation, c. 2020.
I'm being very brave today
i should have been born a flamboyant aesthete fag in the early 20th century so i could go to audacious parties and write mediocre poetry and die of alcohol poisoning at 32 without having contributed anything to society except serving cunt in a fur coat and semiregular emotional breakdowns
