For your nature of the human soul story I have some thoughts and questions.
I was wondering how the others learned about how sprout died/how they killed their parents and what the different reactions would be to it? I am also curious how they would react to sprouts past and how their parents treated them? Will they run into their parents at all, I feel like the parents would blame sprout for going to hell like they ended up in hell for having such a horrible child and not because of what they did. How would everyone react the the parents, I feel like Lucifer would have a soft spot for sprout after learn about what happened to them. I also think Carmilla and Zestial would like them and have a soft spot for them, and that they would get along well with Carmillas daughters.
Sorry for the rant! Just reread book one in preparation for book two and I'm so excited!
Okay, so I am sitting here shaking and wanting to answer, but I have to remain silent on most of these questions because they are things that will be addressed in the future of the series since they are important to Sprout's overall character and plotline (including stuff that Book Two doesn't even get to yet)
It is never explicitly stated who Sprout killed, even though it is fairly obvious it was their parents. They just haven't had the guts to say that yet. Pretty obviously in Book One and the specials, Sprout holds a lot of guilt over what they did or at the very least conflicted feelings of wanting to get out of what was going on but also feeling bad about, you know, murder.
As for how people would react to this information, well, I have to say that since it is an important plot point for the series and Sprout, I can't say. I'm sorry :(
Camilla and Zestial definitely would have soft spots, and I think I will incorporate that fact more. And just like how I think Sprout would get along with Loona and Octavia, I definitely think they would get along with Odette and Clara, Carmilla's daughters. Ah! I'm so excited to give them more friends <3

You have to tell me how the hell it maintains that shape first.
Sometimes people think they're dealing with a Torment Nexus but what they actually have is a Jumanji. And sometimes people think something's a Jumanji but oops it's a Torment Nexus.
Now. Sometimes you have a third thing- you'll have yourself a Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. And buddy, I can't help you there.
So a Torment Nexus is something that is either a metaphor for a larger societal problem (e.g. The Platform, The Long Walk) or a social issue/trend taken to an exaggerated extreme (e.g. The Purge), with a lot of shades of grey in between (e.g. Squid Game). If it isn't about a larger societal issue/trend/structure it isn't a Torment Nexus.
A Jumanji can be dangerous and high-stakes (to the characters), but it doesn't need to have a metaphor or lesson, it can easily just be a "Would this be fucked up or what?" situation (e.g. a lotta Goosebumps stories). If there IS a lesson/metaphor, it will be on a smaller scale like psychological issues (e.g. Magnus Archives), family/relationship issues (e.g. Zathura), or about a specific topic (e.g. Magic School Bus). Large-scale social issues may be present (after all, Everything Is Political), but they take a definite backseat.
Now. A Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory is a trap based around morality and vices. These can be cultural, religious, or bonkers bullshit like "children shouldn't chew gum." There is generally not discussion or criticism of this morality system. Regardless of the morality system used, if it's not a trap, it's not a Chocolate Factory.
