I feel sad for anyone who isn’t allowed to take apart sewing machines. There are so many old cheap ones around that need taking apart (and cleaning, and thoroughly oiling, and putting back together again). Also, taking apart sewing machines, while initially utterly terrifying, is one of those power trips that only gets better the more you’re able to strip down the machine, identify the problem, and rebuild it again and have it WORK <3
