Hey everyone! I'm Lewis, 17 years old, currently enrolled in Naranja Academy. I'm really just passing through with the goal of getting some kind of education that a job will recognize. Not much of a battler, but I do have a team on my hands, little guys I've collected overtime.
I'm from Unova originally, but driven by both the fear of Team Plasma and a general paranoia that if I don't leave home I'll never become an adult, I applied for Naranja and somehow got in!
Now I'm away from home and trying to figure out what I should be doing with myself. If I'm lucky, I'll make it out of here better than when I arrived. I, uh, guess I hope nothing too exciting happens here. I haven't heard any news of big-bad evils here in Paldea, and I really hope it stays that way.
[Pelipper Mail is Open! Please do not send living pokemon. Anything magical is okay, just be warned that it may go unused if its powers are too convenient. If you'd like your mail to be seen sooner than whenever Lewis deliberately checks her PO box, put a "!" orāor anything similar at the top of your ask.] [Mail Tag for searching is "a student's PO box".]

(Author here! Hiya! For clarification, this blog takes place in a canon-to-the-games-verse, and as of July 27th 2026, specifically before all the story stuff starts to happen with Area Zero, the scarvi protag, yadayada. Lewis doesn't have knowledge of future events [she doesn't believe those crazy things will happen here even though they will don't tell her I said that], nor is she replacing the protag in the story. She does however have an awareness of other timelines/multiverses due to... Well, this app. And the nature of her own world. She is very accepting of hybrids, pokemon people, pokemon who are people, and all other fun forms of humans who aren't quite human.
Come say hi! Send in asks, bring your multiverse hopping OCs to Mesagoza for a visit- no matter who you are, you won't be breaking anything I'm trying to do here in terms of timeline or world events.
'S that everything? Eh, we'll see.)
Adding here some additional tags for searching.
"A life well updated": updates on day to day happenings/storybuilding, basically everything that isn't reblogs or talking to other users on site. Includes hints of where Lewis is in the canon timeline sometimes.
"ask a pokestudent": self explanatory, Lewis answers ask games or prompted questions. Lore asks will not be tagged like this, they will be linked in the lore directory below by title.
Edit, Aug. 4th 2026: I am adding a lore link thing here while I'm ahead in case this blog gets too big for it's britches.

Huh. No, that does all kinda make sense though, don't it? I've always felt a sort of kin-connection to Samuel. Also looks like we have a lot of fairy friends here!

I think I missed last weekend- last two weekends? Time keeps passing and I'm not paying attention. We're going to Cortondo with as empty of a stomach as we can manage, since I hear they have good food places. If I'm lucky, I'll make it back home before nightfall.
The treasure hunt is apparently sometime next month. There's this mounting social energy leading up to it, I can feel it in the air. It's leaving me more jumpy than normal. Going to another town for a while will hopefully help. Wish me luck!
I think basically it would be really pleasant to find a bug type pokemon, like, a Wurmple, eating up your garden and say hey excuse me, these plants are really important to me and I would prefer you didn't eat them, do you want to come with me to the garden center and we can pick out something just for you? And you'd offer your hand and it would sniff and go wurm wurm! And crawl up onto your shoulder and you'd look at plants together and then when you go to the checkout a lady says you and your partner Wurmple make quite a cute pair and you start to say oh I don't really know this Wurmple we just met today and then you and the Wurmple look at each other and decide you both had a lot of fun together and that it would love to be your friend.
And then basically just this happens with different puppies and kitties and teacups and stuff like every few days.
A weighted assessment of the seven human soul virtues. Apparently people think it's good.
The section about the flaws of kindness kind of felt like it was calling me out.
//by the way the quiz says "you acknowledge the possibility of pain and seizure" at the end but there isn't actually anything that could be seizure inducing.
Huh. The low determination I was expecting, but I really thought kindness would be further up there... Or at least anything at all. Patience! I know that, just... Wasn't expecting it to be the big dog.
So I finally mustarded up the courage to ask someone what the treasure hunt was and, as expected, I got a surprised and enthusiastic earful about it. And I gotta say? I don't get it. "Finding your treasure" is the most vague thing I have ever heard.
Am I supposed to gather a pirate crew and go pillage a maritime vessel? Or am I digging up a chest from an excavation site? Or should I be looking for an ancient temple to raid? Treasure????
Unless someone is hiding things for students to find somewhere, I am missing the point of this entirely (and that sounds pretty lame even then). Just sounds like an excuse to let students run around every other week while still keeping the school open in the meanwhile.
Info-haver was unsure if classes are held during the off-week at all, but I plan on taking them if they are. Constant breaks are bad for me if I'm going to school. My horses, dogs, and the monkey are doing great by the way. I've started tying rope to every handle on this house, and I built a shelf yesterday for everyone to put stuff on. Pokemon accessibility for the win!
in my universe the ātreasureā is meant to be an experience that made you grow in someway and then you write an essay about it afterwards
like learning an instrument or new language could be a treasure or making a new friend or going somewhere you hadnt gone before or discovering something new about yourself etc etc
like its meant to be the academys way of getting students to expand their horizons since a lot of (not all) adults, once they graduate from their studies, tend to be a little lost because they focused so hard on just academics for years
though im not sure if thats how it is in your universe
Aha!! I get it now. Well shucks. Oh, maybe I can write about that internship if I get it? Otherwise I may have to actually go do something on my own. Which sounds scary. But what isn't scary, really?
It's self directed study that faculty are bizarrely shit at describing
Which makes it all the more baffling they are teachers! Well, some of them are teachers. The one I asked was a teacher.
Next Up: When do I have to renew that book I checked out? More at six.
