I did a small redraw of my first post here! Am happy I found a good art style and rendering style I enjoy drawing in eheh

It looks extremely different I know, I promise it's by the same person 🥀

What I like from the original: the shading and rendering, plus darker colours work nicer with the atmosphere. I just don't like the way I drew Avery.

What I like from the remake: the painterly rendering is nice. Could be a bit darker and I could have added the wooden sword + put Avery a bit farther back and closer to the platform edge.

Not to be a sap on here but, I'm really struggling right now with just about everything. Being alive is difficult. I'm far from where I want to be, but this community has been like a light in the dark and you all keep me going, so my sincere thanks for that 🫶

Assorted traditional doodles this time! I pulled an allnighter to finish a hellish amount of assignments for uni... can you tell I was coping hard bc I was.

Avery is fortunately very expressive and fun to draw and they both kept me company all night 🫶🟢

Bunch of traditional doodles again! I have 2 big assignments and an exam to go...

Fakevery - I really wanna design/draw him cause he's just so unsettling... When I first saw him in DAWTDE, I was fairly confused but in hindsight, his entire mannerism was so creepy?? Extremely chill and unbothered with the whole situation. No questions, confusion or fear?? As well as understanding complex puzzle mechanics on the get-go.

Der was right, Fakevery was completely unconvincing. Even though TKIY put a bit of thought to make sure he incorrectly quoted Conway's game of life ("like Kanye's something") the entire act was nothing like how a normal person would react??? Mischaracterised Avery by a mile. I was, however, convinced the block breadcrumbing was all Der.

Anyways I'm going to open up my ask box soon and start sorting thru them 😼 so if you have a request/question or tomatoes to throw, now is the time!!

I think I may have gone overboard with this, but I spent too much time on it to go back now and I really like the sunset gradient! I don't know if it was worth trading the simplicity/original grey vibe but I think it still looks pretty.
