"In the instance an employer makes an illegal request for a photograph as part of a job application, you may submit a complaint to the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission."

Successful violation fee collections are paid partially to the one who suffered the violation, which in many cases exceeds a year of work at these shit jobs. There's only two weak points to a corporation, and those are in the budget and in the supply chain. Hit them where it hurts.

This is what I tried to explain to US platforms like Patreon when they suspended my account for having a nude statue as the background image: I live in Europe, I can go and see a nude statue within a 5 minutes walk. Children can see them, they're not in some 18+ container. I will never understand those policies.

Remind that the original European colonizers and subsequent founders of America were members of an insane religious cult (Puritans were fucking CrAzY yo) who were vehemently opposed to such statues and depictions of the human form. Not a lot has changed in intervening centuries and American/Protestants/Puritans still cringe and pout at European/Catholic iconography just as their ancestors did 🤷‍♂️
