"Unless she’s still pregnant when she’s dead. She’d spend all her days complaining about her pregnant pains and blame me for everything."
"Exactly. That’s probably why most reality shows have an invisible voice telling them what to do. Or was that a movie? I can’t really remember." She laughs, parting the hair behind her ear.
"Does it really work like that? No wonder people are afraid of death and stuff."
"I think it's probably both, actually." She grinned. "Did you ever see that one where the guy discovers he's a fictional character? Maybe that's what you're thinking of. "

He perked up immediately, bowing graciously. “I thank thee for the compliment! It’s rare that one admires my skills; rather, lives long enough to comment on them.”
He shook his head. “Magic doesn’t make people evil, only enhances their emotions. If you’re good, then it makes you incredibly good, as does it with the other one, you see?” He pursed his lips, annoyed. “What I do has nothing to do with my muchness, but just… an obligation, and a lack of humanity.”
She tried to cover a wince at his words. "Uh...Alright..." she said slowly, not quite sure how to reply to that.
"Ohh. That makes sense. Kind of." she chuckled. "That's pretty black-and-white, if you ask me. What about if you're neither good nor bad? And please, don't, you know, behead me or something for asking all these questions."

"So you think I took that hideous looking bracelet? Well, if you think I’m so guilty why don’t you bring me in to the Sheriffs office for questioning, dear. I’d love to see you try." Regina smirked. "Going after the mayor you have guts."
Abby gritted her teeth. Regina really hated the thought of anyone challenging her, it seemed. "If that's what you want." she sighed. But I don't think you're guilty, I promise. We're just working with what we have, which isn't much."

"As you wish." He shrugged, taking the blade and throwing it behind his shoulder, letting it hit right in the middle of a tree, wiggling side to side.
"Oh yes, she’s a magical being that Queenie of mine. I doubt she knows much about that word, I’m afraid. She’s only limited to that which her magic can do, and that’s very little." He noticed how she was now doing the walk around him, giggling to his hands. "No, having magic makes you wicked, not mad. I don’t do magic, nor is what I can see ‘magical’, exactly. I merely was born with the gift to see that which is never told, the weight of the words because in my home, they always had more than one meaning."
She sighed, rolling her eyes. "Thank you. I applaud the showmanship, by the way.
"Ah, I see. So magic makes people evil, but what you do isn't technically magic, so any horrible things you do are just do to your own non-magical horribleness? Got it."
"I only threatened her. It’s not like I’d actually do it. Can you imagine her spirit haunting my store? I’d never hear the end of it!"
She laughs. “Oh my gods, yes! Something like from the amusement parks.” She changed her tone to an airy, delightful one. “Please go away and take your magical problems elsewhere!” She laughed brightly.
"That would be terrible. But, really, if you're dead, then being unexpectedly pregnant wouldn't be much of a problem." she reasoned, cracking a smile.
"Exactly! There's something nice and authoritative about disembodied voices. They can be as commanding and mean as you want. Who cares if a fake person isn't polite to your customers."
"A break in?" she questioned. "Alright, then did you find anything, evidence wise besides you going through my stuff? Wait, Emma asked you to come? Why couldn’t Emma come?
"Well, I did find one little thing, which I didn't even have to rifle though your drawers for. This." She held up a silver bracelet. "This was one of the things that was taken." She gave the mayor a small smile. "I don't really think you took anything, at least not yet. I really just came here to ask you a few questions, but you wanted to know if I found anything, so there. I found something."
"Oh, Emma? Well, if you'd prefer her to do this kind of thing with you, I can put a note in my files." she shrugged. "She was busy with...something. Henry called. Or walkie-talkied or whatever."
*was rifiling through her drawers shortly before this* “Ahh!” *clears throat* “Sorry Regina..Umm..Emma sent me.”
"She sent you to break into my office?" *Regina walked towards her desk setting her purse down.* "Please, do explain yourself as to why she needed you to break into my office and go through my things."
"Well, there was a break-in, and several people said they saw you close by at the time, So, Emma and I agreed I'd come to see if you knew anything about it. Your receptionist let me in, and... I just took to...Looking around while I waited for you." *smiles sheepishly* "I meant no harm by it at all. I'm sorry."
"What the hell is going on here?"
*was rifiling through her drawers shortly before this* "Ahh!" *clears throat* "Sorry Regina..Umm..Emma sent me."

"Well you must meet them! However will you find someone who’ll drown in them with you?" He wailed. "I can always bring him back out again if you need a push." He drummed his fingers along the hilt, smiling wickedly.
"Yes. Mirrors, Crows, cleverly bewitched items that track and stalk its prey; any of the above will do." He explained listing the things off like charges on his hat. "I only have free reign because she knows even I’m not mad enough to challenge her; and besides, I have nothing to fend for."
She smirked. "Uh, no, that's okay. I think I'm all tapped out for self-reflection, thanks."
"Really? Crows and inanimate objects too? Doesn't she know about boundaries? Nevermind. She doesn't. That much is obvious." She walked a little circle around him, a curious expression on her face. "So, does magic just automatically make you crazy, or is that just a certain Queen?" she asked. "Can you do magic?"
"I know!" She shuddered. "She definitely showed some when I threatened to make her Viper’s next meal."
"Not flashy enough. Maybe I could also place a bunch of tapes on the floor too to guide them along with those guys who twirl the arrows."
"You threatened to feed a wannabe patron to your snake? Wow. You're feistier than I thought." she laughed.
"Oh, okay. How about an audio system? You know, big booming voices instructing people to take their romantic problems elsewhere, that kind of thing?" she joked.

"Because I’m the only one who’ll listen to your sorrows? Or maybe because in my madness you know I’m right." He shrugged, waving her cares away. "It kept you on your toes, now didn’t it? And look where we are! We’ve made a breakthrough in your mind."
"I reiterate, you may not want to see Queenie, but Queenie may already be watching you." He waved a hand in the air, as if they were being watched. "The girl has eyes everywhere, though she’s not always looking at them at the same time."
" Hey! There are other people who would listen to my 'sorrows'. I just....Haven't met them yet." she joked. "You know, we did. Mortal danger usually has a way of doing that."
"Well that's eerie. Not exactly out of character for her, but still." She followed his hand with her eyes, pondering the new information. "It's that thing with the mirrors, right? She spies on people through them?"
