You hesitate near the doorway, still carrying that stubborn little attitude with you.
Not loud—not even slightly.
But it leaves no room for arguing.
You move slower than you should.
And the silence that follows makes your stomach tighten instantly.

Sharp enough to cut right through the bratty act you walked in with.
You obey this time, crossing the room properly.

“You’ve been needy all day,” they say firmly. “Whining for attention. Acting out. Pretending you don’t need this nursery when we both know exactly where you end up every single time.”
“Look at you,” they continue softly, almost amused now. “Still trying to act big while standing in my nursery.”
A hand pats the edge of the bed.
You sit immediately this time.
The praise is quiet—but it hits harder than it should.
“You listen so much better when you stop fighting it.”
Their hand tilts your chin up slightly, making sure you’re paying attention.
“Now listen carefully, baby.”
That word alone makes your thoughts start slipping away.
“In here, you follow directions the first time. No attitude. No pretending. No bratty little games unless I decide I’m in the mood for them.”

The room feels warmer now. Smaller somehow. Safer.
“You spend so much time trying to hold everything together out there,” they say, voice softer but still firm. “But the second you walk in here, you want someone else to take over.”
Their thumb brushes gently beneath your chin.
“And most of all… you want to be taken care of.”
Because denying it would be pointless.
They lean back slightly, studying you carefully.
“Now… are you finally ready to behave like my good little one tonight?”
