september is here and it feels like a brand new beginning. new classes, fresh notebooks, the idea of trying a new hobby or returning to the gym, maybe even learning a language or baking something warm and sweet.

but here's a little reminder routines don’t fall into place overnight. it’s okay if it takes you days or even weeks to find your pace again.

try starting small — a short study session, prepping your bag the night before, making one cozy recipe. pair new habits with old ones, and let progress grow slowly.

be patient with yourself. september isn’t about rushing, it’s about soft steps, quiet progress, and building a rhythm that feels sustainable.

I heard so many people talk about romanticizing your life and at first it was annoying but then I was eating an apple and it was red and sweet and I was making an effort to conciously and slowly enjoy my apple because that's what my therapist told me to try to be more in the moment and it was the best apple I ever ate. I ate it slow and really payed attention to the sweetness and the sourness and I was sitting outside under some trees and there was a breeze and I thought: This is a perfect moment, and one day I will wish I had the opportunity to sit here and conciously eat this apple and be happy. Anyways. Try making a big deal out of small things.

took the day off today and skipped my lectures, so i’m compensating by working at home. i had an incredibly hectic week, and i'm dead tired, but i've also booked my slot for my exam so there is no time to rest! on the agenda:

- vocab cram session - practice piano - finish up grammar study (!!) - get my academic reference sorted - read - finish assignment - pilates - catch up w friends

stop ignoring yourself. fix your posture, get a new hair cut, do your nails, take care of your skin, brush your teeth, drink water, eat foods that give you energy. get strong, stop looking sloppy. when you feel good, you do good. invest in yourself.
