The Doctor peeked into the “diner” after her and nodded, stepping up next to her. He looked at her for a moment with confusion before stepping up to a man.
“Yes,” he said. “Excuse me. Could you tell me where you are?”
“You are nowhere,” the voice replied instantly in a monotone.
Her attention had currently been fixated on the lovely looking window-panes, which was painted with all different colours and patterns, containing stunning images that reflected the light from the outside perfectly. However, her gaze snapped back to the man behind the counter, eyeing him warily.
Not only was his tone concerning, but his overall demeanor, and it makes the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.
Clearing her throat, she cautiously stepped forward, giving him a nervous smile while playing with her sleeves. "Well, uh, we must--we must be somewhere, yeah? I know it's a funny question, but we're fairly lost, and it would be great to get a location!"
Her gaze flickered back to the Doctor very briefly--he was obviously just as unnerved as she was.
