but they do lmfao. im a narcissist. i have npd. i care about my friends, i care about people. im not selfish. i feel like lots of ppl hear "narcissist" and see low empathy and immediately jump to "they're selfish ppl who only do things for their own benefit" but that's not true?? we care about people the same way others do. we didnt ask for this disorder, it was forced onto us. there's nothing abt npd that makes us inherently bad people. the core of our disorder is dysregulated self-esteem thats often low and dependent on and/or easily influenced by others which is why we might seem so high and mighty, to cover it up and desperately try to feed into our own need for high self-esteem because guess what: many of us, like so many of yall think that we need to be worthy to be loveable. we just have so much more of an extreme self-esteem and self worth issues to the point of affecting our everyday life. any amount of trying to understand us and our disorder would easily tell u this. i cant speak on behalf of those with aspd but im sure they feel similarly. stop being willingly ignorant or take your fucking ableism elsewhere, we don't fucking want it.

The people who argue that psychopaths and narcissists are ALL inherently evip abusive people who don't have the ability to care about others?

Every last one of them demonstrates an extreme lack of compassion for other people. The very thing they're accusing others of.

I don’t know if people realize how much activism these women did for gay right and during the aids crisis. If you think about it they were all long established in Hollywood and Broadway. They had tons of friends personally affected and dealing with the aids crisis. Estelle Getty lost a nephew. I think they helped plant seeds in people who watched Golden Girls that helped make things a little more normalized and mainstream.
