Hot take time: as an American millennial, I'd genuinely think normie millennials have some of the worst humor of any other living generation before or since. Our primary form of humor is calling attention to and explaining a joke or absurdity because we think that explaining jokes IS the real punchline of the joke. Literally the one thing you can do to a joke that makes it unfunny is what we can't stop hyuk-yuking about and gobbling up. It's all over our popular media, social media, and IRL interactions (see: DCC and Project Hail Mary). Many will say I hate fun but I swear the reason it drives me up the wall is because I love fun so much. Stop making fun things unfun!
