Cannibalism isn't a crime (or a sin)

Did you know that there are no explicit laws forbidding cannibalism in most countries? This is because it's near impossible to obtain human meat for consumption without committing other crimes.

Building off of this idea, my theory is that the people of Cannibal Town are actually a race of Hellborn, like Imps or Hellhounds, but created by Lilith.

If you think about it, cannibalism for survival shouldn't be a sin that would land you in hell. But it's such a taboo that sinners wouldn't examine the idea too closely. It would be easily to pass off a race of hellborn as sinners under this concept.

This would explain why all of them look the same, why there are children and elderly and why both Alastor and Jeffrey Dahlmer do not share the same distinct design despite definitely performing cannibalism in life.

The only counter-argument I've seen is that cannibals have red blood. It's possible that since Lilith was a human that her creations had red blood anyway. But also, have we seen cannibals bleed in series?

absolutely - what I and many USAians call "possums" are technically named "Virginia opossums," and they're some of the sweetest, cutest, and dumbest critters you'll ever encounter

here's our Gus Gus when he was just old enough to go outside, whom we fostered from when he was rescued from his dead mother's pouch

the only harm he ever caused was climbing up our bodies when he wanted snuggles. which I never faulted him for, because that's what he'd have done with his real mom

just, those non-retractable claws meant I bore scratches for months - hence the hoodie in the right photo, worn as armor

despite the minor wounds and sadness of eventually losing him (they don't live long), I'd not trade our time with Gus for anything
