"Steven Rogers, you run off on me again in the middle of an argument, and I swear I'll build a time machine just to go find your mother and complain about your behavior." It was a mostly empty threat, just to keep up appearances. They had no idea why Steve kept stomping off at the most convenient possible times, just at the times that Tony had to run off to go do Iron Man stuff, but they figured it would be suspicious if they said nothing about it. Especially since Steve's excuses had been growing more and more feeble. Maybe he was moonlighting as a photographer or something, trying to catch pictures of all the big events?
âLook, its not your business what Iâm doing,â he snapped before crossing his arms and looking away. Stiff and agitated. He didnât want to leave really, but it was for the best. He needed to be able to go to work and he couldnât tell Tony he was a superhero. It would be too dangerous, âI have things I gotta do.â
Tony narrowed their eyes with even greater suspicion. "None of my business, huh? I suppose that means you'd think it was none of your business, if I ran off on you right in the middle of a conversation? I ask you about your drawing, you start to tell me, and I run off mumbling something about the bathroom and don't come back for five hours and you wouldn't be at all concerned about that? You wouldn't have the right to know? And what if I came back in different clothes, dried blood on my face and hands, from my five-hour bathroom trip? Would that also be none of your business?" Tony really had to get going--they shouldn't be dragging this out--but Steve had struck a particularly sensitive chord.
âItâs nothing you can help me with,â he gritted his teeth. He knew tony was only worried, but he didnât want to say something. He didnât want to risk Tony finding out, âItâs not your problem. Just let it go Tony.â

âNot my problem? Okay then. Glad weâre clear. Go, then.â It was plain as Day that Tony was not alright with that answer, but they didnât have the time to deal with it right then. It was going to have to wait. Turning on their heel, they left before Steve could, hiding their angry tears with their turned back.
Please go find Tony at my new multimuse @everyheartbesure !

âYou are too. Youâre a hero Tony. Myself and others are here today because of you.â He mused. âThank you.â He leaned in and kissed his husband softly.Â
âSheâs our girl. Iâd do anything for her to make her happy.â He explained. âI gave up the shield just so I can be with her and I donât regret that decision one bit. You know what.. I cant wait to see the look on her face when she sees you. Iâm sorry about earlier.â He felt bad now for nearly holding them back from seeing each other.Â
Tony sagged in obvious relief and he ran his hand tenderly through Steve's hair. "Thanks, baby. Y'know, it's gonna be weird having you underfoot. I got pretty used to the primary caretaker gig." Steve had never exactly been an absent parent, but Tony had spent more time alone with her than Steve had before all this. What d'you need, Stevie? What'll make you feel better?"

âMy best friend Rhodey is in the Air Force. Big bad pilot. He got into as much trouble as me in college, but I think heâs sneakier about it now. Iâve only had to take the blame for two explosions in the last couple years.â He held out his other hand to James across the table, hoping heâd take it with his prosthetic. âWhatâs it like, being had by a cat?â
âAir Force, huh?â James smiled, a little mischievously. âHeâs definitely sneakier about it, now. Iâm pretty sure âgetting into trouble secretlyâ is what all the armed forces teach.âÂ
When Tony reached out his hand, James took it with his prosthetic hand, tentatively, in case Tony changed his mind and wanted to take it back. âItâs interesting, being had by a cat. If I want to wear black clothes, I have to be very careful about it. Every week I have to deep clean my kitchen before I can bake bread. But itâs also worth it because I never wake up alone, I always have Al curled up on me, purring. Iâm never alone, in general. It helped, a lot, after coming home from⌠overseas. To end up with a cat that needs me as much as I need him,â James admitted it with only the slightest hint of embarrassment.Â
"That sounds nice," Tony answered genuinely. "And you're probably right, about the armed forces." He was looking pleased with himself again as he squeezed both of James' hands. "I bet that means you can be sneaky too. I'm gonna have to keep my guard up, huh? But! Back to the important questions: you bake bread? That's the cutest shit I've ever heard."
Bucky could count each lash under Tonyâs eyes, each freckle dotting his cheeks.

When Tony grabbed his jaw, he smiled softly at the other man. No longer able to hold back what he really wanted to do. Tony had been here for how long and he hadnât even kissed him once. They were too preoccupied talking about Morgan and other things.Â
âI love you.â Steve murmured and leaned in and kissed Tony, his arms reaching out to pull the smaller man closer to him.Â
Tony sunk easily into the kiss, letting his husband have anything and everything he wanted from him, in that moment. He kept one hand on Steveâs face, thumb stroking his jaw, and lifted his other arm to wrap it around Steveâs shoulders. âI love you too,â he promised, as soon as he was given room to breathe again.
Steve moved so he could pull Tony right into his lap. His hands moving along the others body, up his back. A small smile forming on his lips hearing Tony say those words. Words he thought heâd never hear again. His breath hitched for a moment as his lips met Tonys again. One hand moving to the others hair.Â
Tony went along with Steve's attempt to move him closer, despite the soreness, and wrapped his good arm around his neck. "You're a good man, Steve." Tony kissed him a couple more times, just soft brushesof lips, then added "Thank you for taking care of our daughter, honey."
aceofstarksâ:
âMm, y'know, my aimâs pretty good, and they wonât expect it. Pretty sure I could put at least a pause in your suffering next time they come over. Or, y'know, we could file a restraining order.â Tony wrapped their arms around Clintâs neck and their legs around his waist, making it convenient for their partner to pick them up.
âWhatâre we having for breakfast? Toast? Toast sounds great. Coffee sounds better. Do you think we should throw an announcement party? When weâre ready to tell people about the baby?â
âI dunno if a little poison is restraining order worthy, Iâd just like them to warn me first,â Clint replied, as he picked Tony up easily.
âI think itâs toast for breakfast, then,â he grinned at them, as he carried them towards the kitchen. âA âitâs a humanâ party, maybe? Could be fun, and cake is always a good time.â He set them on the counter when they reached the kitchen, beginning to make the tea, including for himself, because he didnât want to make them feel bad by excluding them from coffee.
Once the tea was steeping, he began to get bread ready for toast. âMaybe signs that say âweâre hoping itâs not a dinosaurâ?â He added, leaning in to kiss Tonyâs cheek with a smile.
Tony made a face, pretty clearly unhappy with Clintâs perspective on being poisoned, but he let it go for the moment.
âI was thinking more along the lines of âFrom this point forth, there will be another small human on your gift-giving list twice a year. You have been warned. Weâre softening the blow with cake.â But we can have âhoping itâs not a dinosaurâ signs.â
Tony caught his hand when he came close again, then pulled him down for a soft, loving kiss. âWith any luck, our baby will escape the cisgender curse. I dunno how weâll do raising a normal, conforming child.â
âYour idea is much more ominous, I like it,â Clint replied, kissing them back tenderly when he was snagged for a kiss.
âAt the very least, if theyâre cis, weâll know itâs not because we forced them,â Clint added, smiling. âAnd I doubt anyone looking at them would think our child is cis.â He added, because strictly conforming to society ascribed traits of male and female wasnât something it seemed like anyone did if they had a healthy relationship with their gender. âTheyâll be loved no matter what, though.â He added softly, warmly.
"I guess," they agreed. Still, it would be hard, giving advice to a cishet child, not sharing any of their experiences. They might have to find other people to talk about that stuff with them, if it turned out to be necessary.
They waited impatiently for the toast, then ate all of it without a hint of shame, not hesitating to steal Clint's too.
'Doctor Cambry can see you at 1:45 PM today, Sir,' JARVIS interrupted.

Loki entered into the office with a coffee for Tony and another round of flowers and chocolates from someone who wanted to court him. âGood morning! Coffee for you and where would you like me to set these? Sent from, uhhh⌠Oh, an anonymous.â Loki had set down the coffee and looked at the accompanying card. Loki had successfully lived his life as an assistant in Stark Industries under the guise of a Beta. Taking suppressants regularly had helped him keep up that facade, but an issue with renewing that prescription could put that front in danger. He leaned against the desk to ease the weight of the flowers off his arms for a moment. âAnything else I can grab for you for now? Otherwise I can make sure that the board room is ready for todayâs meeting.â
Tony had half-heartedly tried to get Loki into bed when heâd first been hired, but he hadnât tried again after being rejected. That just wouldnât be classy. âThanks, Loke. Can you put the flowers in a vase somewhere public where people can enjoy them? And toss the card.â He didnât often get flowersâalpha men usually didnâtâso he was a little bit charmed, but they werenât personal. They werenât from someone who knew him and knew that heâd like the flowers, so they could only be so lovely.Â
He frowned as Loki moved and he caught a whiff of something unusual. It was⌠but it was probably just wishful thinking. âIs that a new scent? It smells nice.â
âC-Can you take me h-home, please? Just⌠Just wrap me up in something that smells like you, maybe itâll drown out my scent a bit.â He chewed on his lip, forcing himself to stay grounded in the moment. If he could hold on long enough to think clearly. âI want help, I trust you.â
âHoney, I⌠I donât have experience. I donât know if you should trust me with this. Tell me- tell me why other people canât know, Loki. Help me understand, please.â He already had his jacket off and around Lokiâs shoulders. He hadnât even realized he was doing it.
Loki wrapped the jacket around him, holding it close. He took a few deep breaths, trying to ground himself. âI donât want to be treated differently. As a Beta, people treated me as an equal, they didnât look down on me. I was so scared of being seen as weak or like I wasnât serious. Some people make all kinds of excuses to treat Omegas however they want. I donât want that, I want to be normal.â He explained. âI know you wouldnât hurt me. Youâve been nothing but respectful.â
âLokiâŚâ He lightly gripped the manâs shoulders and bit his cheek for a moment ad he fought the desire to agree and sweep Loki off his feet and back to somewhere he could be properly cared for. But Tony of course. âIf you go to a heat clinic, nobody in your life will need to know. Socially, it will be no different from hiding away in your home for a few days. And itâll be safer. Itâs the most responsible way to handle things, when you donât have a long-term partner.â At least, that was what was advertised. Safety, privacy, and care. âAnd you turned me down, when I showed interest. This morning, it didnât seem like that had changed.â
Loki couldnât help how he melted into Tonyâs touch, it felt so nice and right. He knew a heat clinic was arguably the best thing for him right now, but he wanted to be in the comfort of his own home, not surrounded by how many other individuals all in the same situation. Tony did have a point though. He had turned him down before, what was different now? âItâs not that I donât like you. I was new to the company and as charming as you were, a certain measure of professionalism needs to remain in place. Donât doubt that Iâve never considered the idea before, but I know I shouldnât make it a reality.â Tears pricked up in his eyes, he just wanted to go home.
Tony felt a low growl start somewhere deep in his chest before he cut it off harshly. He had no business being possessive or demanding here. âBut youâre sure you want me now?â He brushed away a tear and pulled him just a little bit closer. âYouâre sure?â
âAs long as what I really am doesnât effect things between us, I think Iâm sure that I want you.â He nodded. His heat decided to flare up a bit to remind him to get going. He clenched at his stomach, eyebrows knitting in discomfort. âFuck⌠Ow, that one hurt.â
"Alright. Alright, sweetheart. Do you mind if I take you home with me? If you want to go to your place, you're going to have to give me directions, and my car might stand out." He pulled Loki close to his chest, a protective and affectionate gesture, and rubbed his back.
