- when people think you're dying, they really, really listen to you, instead of just...
- instead of just waiting for their turn to speak?
- yeah... yeah
(some house md spoilers)
watching house for the first time and just finished the end of s6 and wheww... so sad. so heavy. i've been so up and down about house (as the writers want you to be 🤷) that it's been hard for me to "redeem" him (although i don't think he should ever be FULLYYY redeemed idk, that's how i feel about it) but it really showed that side of house that's so difficult to see on the surface and has made me feel back to that in the middle about him, leaning to the positive. it's interesting how much pain changes a person and to hear him say that explicitly takes strength. and to also deny himself of drugs that he used to once take to be his vice and addiction.
i also just love how this fandom brings up thoughts and feelings about morality and the depth of people and their characters. it's so interesting to see what people think about characters and such extreme situations (eg. chase killing dibala, wilson's continuous people pleasing, personally i don't like cameron but it's interesting to see people who feel the other way) based on their own character, morality and experience.
and then use these characters to better understand people around me. for example, after that episode my dad came home and i saw his cane and i thought more about his pain has changed him.
such a cool show.

I Am Jacks Broken heart (2024)
Happy pride to those 5 seconds where Charlie Swan thought Jacob was coming out to him in the most insane way possible
No one talking about how Charlie Cox has the brat tamer voice down pat...his condescending and intimidating voice for Matt is so 🤤
