people always get so caught-up on needing a definition for queerplatonic attraction or relationships, when it's pretty much the relationship equivalent of nonbinary. and "what is an exact definition of nonbinary?" is a difficult question to answer! it's quite literally just "any gender that is not strictly binary", and in that exact same way I cannot give you an all-encompassing definition of queerplatonic beyond "it's not strictly in the romantic/platonic binary" it could be inbetween, it could be neither, it could be both, it could be outside of that all.

My fellow aces, I feel it’s my duty to recommend you read Blank Spaces (and the Toronto Connections books) by Cass Lennox. For the first time in my life, I saw myself—my ace self—reflected as a main character in a book. The way the main character, Vaughn, explains his feelings about sex hit home. I’ve never in my 30 years read a romance book that I could truly connect with. It’s well written with oceans of chemistry between the characters. And it features an asexual gay man’s open relationship. I can’t even explain what this book means to me. Most importantly, this book gives me hope. It reassures me that I’m not broken. It gives me hope that maybe I won’t always be lonely, that I will find people who love and accept me the way I am.

I have read this book like 3 times already and I still can't get enough of it. Oh my god their dynamic is soooo gooood. The absolute perspective differences of the same scenario from an asexual's pov and an allosexual's pov was so amazing and hilarious to read. Then watching them grow closer because of actual emotional connection is so beautifully written.
