How hard is it for a person with "name recognition" (such as yourself) and relationships with industry professionals to strike out and start their own projects? Do these projects succeed with greater frequency than those from "unconnected" persons?

I don’t know if they succeed more frequently, but they certainly get more opportunity to succeed, because the people who make them have the connections to get into the room where it happens.

Amateur tip and reminder for myself if I ever do a version of the #dpbt2017 again, hoping for grass in the middle that is easily maintainable is folly. A week in and I could tell the grass would have been a complete pain. Luckily all I had in do far was some peas so I was able to clear out all the grass and start mulching. #gardening #mulch #getridofgrass (at Glassboro, New Jersey)
