After a long hiatus, I’ve finally returned to YouTube. I am excited to announce the start of a new series as I follow my newest character Aurora Northlight through her journey on Jorvik.

It would be interesting if SSO started using full voice-overs for main story quests and cut scenes. With all the changes they are making lately, maybe they will eventually.

i just did some VERY basic “research” and it turns out, our characters are like  146 cm. That’s  4 feet 7 inches according to google. No wonder everything is so fucking big in this game.

I think it’s kinda cute that the reincarnation of a powerful goddess is under five feet tall.

And as far as jumping goes I have to say I prefer unrealistically high jumps, purely cause it’s more fun…

When it comes to some environment objects like trees and mushrooms being oversized, I think it’s because 1. It’s a fantasy world so hey, artistic liberty 2. It looks cool 3. From horseback with the default camera angle it would be too hard to see some objects at more realistic sizes

yeah also it’s not illegal to ride a horse to a bar and get wrecked in lieu of a designated driver so like. we have a lot going on here.

Let’s be real though, the horse will always head back to its barn, so really this is a great idea. Get smashed, tie yourself to the horse, let the horse do whatever, and you’ll end up at home. 

…..not that I’ve ever done that on a trail ride before.

Okay, so a trail horse is reliable here, because a horse that’s afraid of city noises will head for home and avoid anything “dangerous” because it’s afraid. However, in my experience city-trained horses are much more obedient and are unafraid of roads and trust their rider a lot more fully. So if your drunk ass says “yeah let’s steer into oncoming traffic” the horse is gonna say “seems weird but okay man.”

The only horse you should trust as DD is a horse with a healthy fear of speeding traffic.

It is possible and common to train the good sense right out of a city horse.

A city horse would walk facefirst into an oncoming train if you asked it to. 

This is why I prefer country horses with a degree of realization of its own mortality left to it.

Not to burst anyone’s bubble, but it IS possible to receive a DUI/DWI for your drunken horseback adventures. Some states, such as Florida, will also cite you for animal cruelty. Others won’t go the DUI/DWI route, but may cite you for public intoxication. Your best bet is to keep your shenanigans to private property and on your own two feet.

Yeah– my state does DUIs on horseback. They do big group trail rides one town over (i live in like, ‘this might be where you go to die’ rural SC) and usually about 10 people end up getting a DUI during. fun times.
