Hot take but rigid divisions between queer identities and heavily-policed labels that are treated like diagnoses are really, really bad.

Trans men have shared histories with lesbians who have shared histories with bisexual women who have shared histories with ace people who have shared histories with aro people have shared histories with gay men who have shared histories with trans women who have shared histories with nonbinary people who have shared histories with etc etc etc etc etc.

Labels are important for people who want them, but we need to stop treating sexuality and gender as rigid boxes and checklists.

yes. labels aren’t a fort you need to protect; labels are a pin you can add to your backpack to signal being part of something. You can, in fact, have more than one label (as a treat).

labels are for personal use and personal identification, not for you to run around with a label gun labeling people for YOUR comfort with what makes sense to YOU.

Jacob has lived a wretched, terrible life. Growing up in Britain is a nightmare he'd just as soon forget, so he moves to America and attempts to do exactly that. Adam is a transmasc in a trans loathing world. Depression has come for him at every turn, and after being rejected by his one true love, being dead, he's put into impatient intensive care for six months. When he makes it out, he wants to make something of the only talent he feels he has, music.

Neither see any chance of success, but they're willing to try and see what happens. Their paths cross and they suddenly find themselves in a whirlwind of learning how to love past identities, trauma, and self sabotage in a thrilling and passionate tale of love.

i’m curious what was the purpose of having a white person with a “You are Free” shirt in front of the police line? this is amazing art it just makes little sense seeing cops have always been more aggressive toward BIPOC and like… are directly tied back to slave catchers. I fear people only care about ICE now that white people have died.

if gender is a spectrum…

and orientation is a spectrum…

who is to say “Gay” isn’t a spectrum in its own respect? is “Gay” attraction to the same sex? or gender? or is it attraction to the same gender expression? not every person is gay the same way after all. not every gay man is dating a cis gay man with a sausage.

and if sexuality IS a spectrum, and each sexuality can be represented in different but still valid ways, then why do ANY of you think even for a MILLISECOND, that you’re allowed to tell someone they’re being *insert their chosen label here* wrong?

mind your business. your opinion (or my opinion for that matter) doesn’t matter more than queer joy, even if drawing lines in the sand gives YOU queer joy. especially right now in history. use your own preferred labels for yourself. use your own definitions for yourself. dont always expect it to mean the same thing to everyone. you shouldnt be asking anyways. you meet people as they are or get out of their way.

your “trans women can’t be gay, trans men can’t be lesbian, asexual people can’t have sex” bullshit is sincerely the reason we as a community will fail to succeed in a timely fashion and continue to drag our feet. the whiners among us about what other people are doing with their bodies and identities are dragging us down into the pits by making people pick a side when the whole point was we didn’t have to anymore.

it’s more nuanced than your PC keyboard warrior obsession with being the Wokest, Greatest Hero Ever™️.

maybe just meditate why you feel the need to “protect” queer people by keeping us in neat little boxes. words mean things, yes. but words can also mean *multiple things* (ie- “dog” can mean 🐕 or specifically, a male dog, or a skeezy guy, or some Brits mean friend, depending on the context. “bat” can mean baseball bat or 🦇 or in different versions like “batting lashes” or “batting at a ball of yarn”)

things on a spectrum don’t have a singular unified meaning. we’ve evolved past the need for that because the world is very big and we only have so many currently made up words. some things are going to share a word and mean different things.

let people pick their own label instead of telling them which ones they should pick. THAT’S actual grooming. so stop it.

UPDATE POST! 📢

General Account Inactivity!

I've been super inactively specially lately. My eyes got worse so I'm lessening screentime lol. I've been mostly using up the screentime working on commissions.

Additionally I lost my internet connection due to storms and my service provider is not sending in their technician to fix the issue. (I mean, I keep contacting them and they just keep saying they're sending someone. 😑) The internet connections that I have been temporary using has been painfully slow. Though the internet seems to relatively speed up around 3 am (Screw you, PLDT. 😑😑😑 Globe, Starlink, and Converge fixed their lines in just a few days. I'm internetless home versus internet-having neighbors.😒 Currently saving to switch to a different service. No internet on Christmas, man. What the hell.)

Coffee Commission Price Increase!

BIG Coffee Commission Price increase in fact!! +50% for the character prices, +100% for the background prices.

Wont be increasing until March 2026 though, and there will be occasional discounts that will have the current prices.

The Regular Commission used to shoulder what money I needed, while the Coffee Commissions are just for drawing-related funds and occasionally help with rent. Sadly my laptop kicked the bucket for real and I can't do Regular Commissions anymore. (Current thing I'm using can't handle the file size.) So until I saved enough for a new one, the Coffee Commissions will be the one to have to meet the quota; thus it needed a price increase.

The only major regret I have for not saving much sooner is now having the possibility that I'll have no other choice than to get a laptop with the stupid Cortana button replacing the Ctrl button.

okay, this MIGHT be a stupid question…

but why don’t we organize all sports into weight classes regardless of sex/gender presentation? i know; it would still be generally a higher amount of one sex than another if we did sports like that but idk ive seen some pretty small guys win the olympics.

or like, what if there was a general strength assessment they could do to categorize instead of using sex? like why is everything based on what’s in my pants? that’s private. those are private parts.
