Also im very mad at a lot of people's interpretations of the seasmoke syrax caraxes vs sheepstealer fight. Like seasmoke and Caraxes are both successful war dragons-- caraxes is a hunter, better suited for dragon vs dragon combat. Seasmoke has more experience with dragon vs human combat but he's still a tank. Both dragons trained with older dragons who also had buckets of battle experience (Vhagar with Caraxes, Seasmoke with Meleys [and im assuming seasmoke with Vhagar as well at some point])

Now compare that to Syrax who was hatched in KL I think? Rhaenyra was a cupbearer. She wasnt out patrolling the seas or flying with other dragons. Rhaenyra and Syrax were kept their entire lives. Could they have been formidable? Absolutely. But neither of them had the opportunity to train like the other dragonriders.

Like we can see in the fight that Syrax is quick, two or three bites and she had sheepstealer by his wing. But that first attack she goes for his throat, not his wings. Caraxes and Seasmoke go for the wings first.

Syrax is more of a showdog than an attack dog. It's not her fault nor Rhaenyras [the men of westeros are a scourge] but that fight felt to me like bringing an AKC winner to a dog fight. Every dog knows how to fight but to get an effective beast you have to train with it
