Hi Everyone: while I was looking for that video of a boat going out to one of the Scottish isles, I bumped into this bit of info that Outlander was going to skip SDCC in 2016, which happened to be scheduled from July 21st to the 24th! I wonder why? Wink, wink, winky dink, dink! DG was quoted as saying "because everyone is otherwise engaged". Really, DG? Caitriona told George Clooney she was going to be off for the summer and Sam was photographed out and about in casual clothes in NYC!!! Obviously the leads were available! Maril too responded with 3 short words! JMHO, I guess life just got in the way of that SDCC. Still I would guess, a wonderful reason that July!

Fast forward to September when they were filming the birth of Brianna and the hospital scene with Claire, Frank and Newborn Brianna, we got a BTS where Tobias was holding the baby who played Newborn Brianna (who happened to be oversized for a newborn but I guess some people wanted to give that baby her screen debut). There was a short haired lady in the picture with the back to the camera that looked to me maybe Granny Heughan? Just speculating, folks!

Sam too was seen lurking during that first day of filming as attested to by fans who were given the "amnesia" donuts to forget about that sighting.

Sam would already be in LA. He was due to go to NZ soon to film Men In Kilts, but...

...He delayed his trip for weeks (He, in fact, had been postponing his trip to NZ since December 2021)...

Sam had motorcycle accident just before he was supposed to leave for NZ. I think there was surgery and recovery involved delaying his departure for NZ.

There may have been a convenient ‘motorbike accident’ to delay Sam in the same city as Cait while a delivery was made! Something that required some mummy recovery time at a nearby Pause.Studio???

Imo Number 5 came along between December 2021 and March 2022. Cait is heavily pregnant (trying to pass as postpartum) in the first pic and real life postpartum in March 2022. She posted her ‘first baby’ announcement knowing she would be showing third tri during Belfast promo/awards events. She needed to time the ‘birth’ announcement to allow for pregnancy cover. Clearly she had the baby earlier in 2021 because she filmed OL heavily pregnant and dates don’t work for filming that and an August ‘first birth’. She needed ‘August baby promo’ to seem postpartum when actually pregnant. They had to hit the PAUSE button in January 2022!!

Cait’s clearly been pregnant many times over the course of Outlander with Sam’s babies. They protect the ‘Single Fantasy Jamie, I mean Sam’ obsession and rewarded handsomely!

Post #3 from my Fb memories of June 27, 2026 - Sam's concern for Caitriona's welfare . NYCC 2019 - SYFY Wire panel. At the end of the panel, Caitriona jumps off stage to receive a gift from a fan and Hubs was mentioning to the bodyguard to get near her for protection. How can you not love a guy like that? Folks, it was 2019! She was already a "married" womam!!! Kinda abnormal for a co-star to be so concerned for her safety unless...! Ok, Sassenachs and Highlanders: as promised! Happened during the NYCC promo in 2018. Sorry for the long wait. It's now 2:50 a.m. Had to do a lot of redacting or blacking out (red ink on some pages) or obscure text to protect the real names of the participants in this convo. At that time, there were many more questions and replies in the original post on my Fb page but these constituted the meat of that convo. Mega thanks to the person who shared.

As lip reading goes, this one's pretty straightforward. He's facing the camera full-on. Whether lip reading is your thing or not, it's readily apparent that he's said something to both his and Cait's delight. They're both tickled by it.

And who wouldn't be? What he said was:

Yep. Plain as day, even with the pixellation from zooming in. Go back to the first gif. He says it.

One more thing:

See how his chin is dipped down when he says these deliciously naughty words? That can only mean he's dropped his voice down a notch.

This is Sam and Cait, not Jamie and Claire. Sam and Cait know where the camera is; Jamie and Claire are characters in the 18th century... no cameras.
