I live in an intensely liberal college town & have had the privilege of living in a town full of acceptance. yet, recently I’ve discovered one of my closest friends (who is a lesbian) is both aphobic and biphobic. this kind of invalidation mirrors the experience of hundreds of other lgbtq people, especially trans people, non-binary people, queer people of color, a-spec people and so many more, in relation to both people inside and out of our community. the lgbtq community has never been about HOW MUCH an identity suffers at the hands of a compulsivly cisheterosexual society. our goal has always been to provide a safe space and gatekeeping defeats that purpose. each and every identity “counts.” this blog is for those who need a pocket of positivity in this mess.

tl;dr: positivity for all. exclusionists, biphobics, and terfs can fuck off
