you dont have to be a parent to understand the horror of walking into a room to discover that the baby crawled out of his crib and onto that pottery wheel you forgot to turn off, and while the baby is spinning around and around, the dog is sitting there all calm, like a person, gently using his paws to fashion the babys soft cartilage head into something a little more modern.  it might be the classic tale of bad parenting, but lets see where the dog is going with this

Seeing Ethel Cain was such a joy, despite it being short-lived.

Unfortunately, the venue was dangerously hot and humid in this UK heatwave and I had to leave so much earlier than I would have liked.

But I got to slow dance with my partner to Nettles and enjoy at least half the set, I think.

hating yourself because of the past won’t actually change it, so maybe forgiving yourself because now you know better is better than torturing yourself over it again and again. at a certain point, you have to accept what happened and your regrets about it and move on and take whatever lessons you’ve learnt with you, since every mistake has something to teach us. being cruel towards yourself doesn’t make the situation any better and it will only hurt you more and more. forgive yourself for not knowing better and forgive yourself for torturing yourself by ruminating on your regrets over and over again.
