Fantasy Is A Metaphor For The Human Condition, a comic about magic, and art, and speculative fiction, and being sick, and how they all intersect. Originally laid out/pencilled November-December 2017, when I was in a very difficult place emotionally as I was relearning how to draw post-brain injury.
See more of my Brain Injury Comix at this link & in Dirty Diamonds #9: Being
Definitely going to keep workin on these guys but I finally got around to designing my idea of wyverns 🥰 they've always been my favorite dragons!
Agender pride flag persona! I've been working on a few more medieval pride flag personas lately and I finally finished this one after switching to Procreate from Photoshop (goodbye Adobe I will not miss u) I loved the reference photo I used for this piece and I'm so glad I finally got to put my spin on it! What do you think?

Ren Faire-going friends, I call upon thee!
I hope to go to my very first Ren Faire later this year, and I need some help planning my garb! Above is my rough rendition of the plan so far:
A very simple tunic made from two oversized t-shirts -- one in a cream tone, the other more of a rust colour -- and dark, loose-fitting pants, plus leather/pleather boots and a belt.
I want to keep it very basic and comfortable for my first go, and with my limited sewing skills, this seems like the most doable plan. However, I still want to accessorize decently, and I need some ideas!
SO! If you can think of anything that would go nicely with this conceptual outfit, please let me know! All I know for certain right now is that I'll have a simple drawstring pouch attached to my belt (for trinket trading), but I don't even have a clue what material I'll be using for it yet...
(Any tips for Ren Faire-going in general would be nice, too! I'm autistic and have bad knees, in case that affects the advice given!)
(Image Description: a digital drawing of the artist in a conceptual renaissance faire costume. The artist is a heavyset person with light, blemished skin, short and messy dark hair, dark eyes, and glasses. They are wearing a cream-coloured tunic with a rust-coloured undershirt; dark brown pants; and a brown belt and matching boots.
The image is titled, "The Base"; text pointing to the top and bottoms halves of the outfit respectively reads "2 shirts made into a layered tunic, + leather* belt" and "Loose-fitting pants tucked into leather* boots." A footnote at the bottom, referencing the asterisks next to the mention of leather, reads, "*or pleather, whatever the thrift store has."
End Image Description.)
(Edit: I only used they/them pronouns for myself in the ID, but any pronouns are fine! Thought I should add that, haha.)
I fiiiiinally finished this illustration after taking a little break, work & life have been hectic recently and I wasn't happy with how this drawing was going but recently I got back into it and I'm pleased with how it turned out! I especially love the tights and the flag design! What do you think?

Happy Pride Month! 💖🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Here's all the medieval pride flag personas I've drawn over the past year, I have some more in the works so keep an eye out hehe
Everyone say hi to Girt Shertemic, my new dnd character (it/its) ✨
I need to stop coming up with cool character concepts and start working on world building. But for now... doodled up a cool magic man with a unibrow.
He's hard of hearing so he uses a silver seashell-shaped ear trumpet, and will usually just store it away somewhere and magically summon or dismiss it as needed. Since he does have some hearing, he doesn't need the aid at all times, and it's a bit cumbersome to carry around non-magically.
Also I thought it would look really neat to have him summon it right to his ear without having to pull it out of a bag or something. So half reasonable trait, half rule of cool, hehe.
(Image Description: a digital comic featuring an unnamed original fantasy character. He is an olive-skinned man with short dark hair and a unibrow, and with lighter patches of skin indicative of vitiligo around each eye, on either corner of his mouth, and on his chest, hand, and wrist. He is pictured from the shoulders up in each panel, and wears a dull blue tunic with pale blue embroidered collar and sleeve cuff.
The first panel has him perking up at something said inaudibly - depicted as a blank speech bubble - from out of panel. In the second panel, he says, "Ah. A moment, please," and holds a sparkling hand to his right ear, his eyes closed and his brow furrowed in concentration. In the third, larger panel, he opens his eyes and smiles, and a silver ear trumpet in the shape of a spiralling sea shell has appeared in his still-sparkling hand, pointing out from his ear. He says, "Could you repeat that, friend?" End Image Description.)
Art Fight revenge on @sadmages of their character Sylvie!! I had a lot of fun animating her 🥰
First post after intro, and I'm gonna show off the first ref sheet i did for my man Kosmo. He's one of my main DnD/TTRPG characters, and he's grown a lot over the two years I've had him. Bitter lighthousekeeper -> pragmatic healer with a secret heart of gold. I have a lot more to say about him, but that's more reason to draw him!
Art Fight attack for @triptrippy of their dunmeshi dwarf OC Beryl!!! I love this guy he's so cool and I had so much fun painting him!! 👏✨
My take on unicorns! I'd really love to make a mythical creature field guide someday, since the Spiderwick Field Guide is what inspired me to start drawing in the first place 🥰
