I GOT THE PAPERS I HAVE ALL THE CONSECRATION DOCUMENTS NOW THIS IS NOT A DRILL I CAN FINALLY BEGIN THE PROCESS OF BECOMING A CONSECRATED VIRGIN THAT IS MY BIGGEST DREAM RN AND IT'S COMING TRUE AAAAAAAAHHH??!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳🤸♀️

AN IMPORTANT UPDATE!
So a lot has happened, most importantly:
I'M OFFICIALLY IN!!! I'VE OFFICIALLY STARTED FORMATION AND I'VE BEEN TO 3 MEETINGS SO FAR AND IT'S BEEN GREAT I LOVE THIS!!! I AM GONNA BECOME A CONSECRATED VIRGIN FOR REAL WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK?!!! 😍
Okay now one step at a time:
around September i had another meeting at the curia in my diocese where i gave them all the documents and GOT VERBAL APPROVAL GOT A GREEN LIGHT YES!!!
after like a couple of weeks or so (?) i got an official permit! on paper! from the curia! to begin formation!!! with a requirement to take vows of chastity for one year in the hands of my spiritual director
so then i contacted the designated priest responsible for the formation of consecrated virgins and widows in our diocese and got all the info about the meetings (for those interested, they're once a month and they consist of Eucharistical Adoration, Holy Mass, and a group conversation lead by our priest usually following the "Ecclesiae Sponsae Imago" document and a Vademecum OV formation handbook)
as i've said, i've already attended a couple of them and it was nice, i got to know other cool sisters in Christ and one cool brother in Christ (consecrated widower), i especially befriended one other candidate who is around my age and stage so we'll probably get consecrated together and she's so cool! we're buddies now
i finally told my parents! And nobody died! Honestly it went far better than i expected, Jesus really pulled a prank on me what with all the Luke 12,53. They didn't disown me lol, i think they're still processing it tbh. I also think we'll need more talks about it because i only went through the technicalities, they don't know the actual reason and the whole story and also it seems like they don't know i'm aroace??? which??? idk i thought it was pretty clear, they've literally known me my whole life?
in the meantime i got randomly invited to the Youth Oasis meeting in my parish to give my testimony and talk about my vocation (they had a series of meeting on the topic on vocations and each week invited different special guests) so now all the youth in my parish knows lol (before you ask, yes, of course i educated them on amatonormative lies told in the society, who do you take me for!)
it's been several months and my spiritual director still doesn't know how to have me take those vows of chastity technically and has to ask at the curia i love this guy sm i thought i was a procrastinator lol
