DD/lg Pride Flag

As a community we have a variety of flags for the various dynamics that fall within BDSM but none for DD/lg. So i decided to design something that represents U/us as a dynamic and that W/we can use as a symbol of pride.

The Symbolism of the flag

The central element of the flag is a little bear within a heart, within a circle. The heart symbolises the gentle and nurturing nature of a Daddy Dom. Within His heart and the safety of His embrace, always cherished, always protected, He holds His little, represented by the teddy bear/stuffie.

Surrounding T/them is an all-encompassing circle of trust, the foundation on which to build. While the Black and blue stripes represent Dominance and submission respectively, as D/s is the core of the DD/lg dynamic.

The Conceptualisation of the flag

The flag is based on the BDSM Pride Flag, which in turn was based on the Leather Pride flag. The Leather Pride Flag has been used as a base and/or inspiration for the majority of the LS Pride flags in use today. As DD/lg is an inherently BDSM Dynamic and falls very much within the BDSM Lifestyle, i wanted to tie the DD/lg Pride Flag in to said flags and carry through the existing theme but still giving it it’s own distinct DD/lg feel.
