Joy and sadness on the very last day of shooting- 26 July 2013

It was a momentous day on the Hobbit set. 

Fili and Kili (but also Thorin on the main unit) had to film their own final scenes, in Fili’s case, even his own final shot.

Mixed feelings for a long day due to end very late.

The final scene of Fili and Kili together started with laughter and jokes about who would finish sooner and had to wait for the other unit.

But Dean knew what was in store for him. 

Sensitive Dean managed to smile in Aidan’s arms at the end of the scene, but once he stepped out of the set, he suddenly realized that nobody would call him the morning after, and then admitted, in an almost broken voice:

“I feel sad….” and the look on his face was worth more than a thousand words….
