Hi everyone! This is an illustrated guide I made as part of my co-admining work at The Middle Eastern Feminist on Facebook! It will be published there shortly.  The technique that is displayed here is a genuine one used in psychology - I forgot the name and couldn’t find it again so if you know about it, feel free to tell me! Some could say: “Yes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!”, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other “types” of harassment of a lone person in a public space!! However I’m focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Eastern woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes - that way one cannot say they “didn’t know what to do”!  I’d like to insist on two things: 1) Do not, in any way, interact with the attacker. You must absolutely ignore them and focus entirely on the person being attacked! 2) Please make sure to always respect the wishes of the person you’re helping: whether they want you to leave quickly afterwards, or not! If you’re in a hurry escort them to a place where someone else can take over - call one of their friends, or one of yours, of if they want to, the police. It all depends on how they feel! For my fellow French-speakers: I will translate it in French and post it on my page as soon as I can :) Please don’t hesitate to share this guide as it could push a lot of people to overcome bystander syndrome!! Fun facts!!:

Jax was originally supposed to have pie cut eyes for the flashbacks.

Chapter 2 was supposed to have Dobby/Scratch as Ribbit's abstracted friend, but it was changed shortly after Episode 7's release.

Mousey's name was inspired by ironmouse! And Mousey's heart shape tail is based on ironmouse's ahoge.

Yes, Caine's greeting in Chapter 2 is a Deltarune reference!!

The lady in the bar from Chapter 3 is based on Francisca I. from the Frankelda franchise.

The NPCs in the Developer Level are based on the Pianta from Super Mario Sunshine.

y'all, deciding the colors for the volcano adventure took so long 😭😭 had to recolor thrice and i had to reshade the ground twice 😭😭 fuck volcanoes man

Since we have no canon basis for Ribbit's personality, I decided to portray them as youthful 🌼

Caine's welcome back message in Chapter 4.2 is a reference to Glitch's Sunset Paradise!

Sometimes Jax masks in front of the others, but with Ribbit, he tries to avoid it.

The promo images are inspired by the Steven Universe promos!

okay so in chapter 4.2 kaufmo and kinger were supposed to be with the others at the end of the chapter therefore making them witnesses to the small jaxbit quarrel, but i forgot to draw them so i had to come up with a creative solution in chapter 5. so i added the scene of kaufmo viewing from a distance and the kinger jumpscare which tbh i like this version more tis funny innit

My favorite page from this series had to be scrapped to fit a dialogue rework (Chapter 5) 😭😭

Chapter 5 is probably the chapter with the most rewrites... it was hard to get right...

The entire script in detail was completed back in October 25', and the majority of the comic was sketched (latest being drawn in November). now u see the unfortunate thing is that my comic making and writing skills have improved since then and i've been rewriting and redrawing most things,,, the lesson here is to not be a perfectionist and to just START what youve been wanting to do 🎓

also the main storyline hasnt been affected by ep7+ with the exception of minor details (ex: mousey)

Originally, majority of chapter 7.1 was exposition but then i added 20 more pages so the story made sense LOL

At the beginning of chapter 7, ribbit was originally supposed to be disassociating in one of the circus rooms; that room was supposed to resemble the parachutes kids do during gym class iykyk

The murder mystery adventure in The Last Adventure is dedicated to my 4 year long amongus hyperfixation iykyk

A while back i posted a one shot comic of caine giving ribbit a book on constipation because he misheard constellation. that's what ribbit was complaining to jax about in chapter 7.1 LOL

The original costumes for The Last Adventure were much different than the costumes shown in the comic. the outfits were more wild west-y but i changed it to a more victorian nobility style since it fit the train environment more
