feeling extra glum rn bc the Party hasn’t Party-d together since the summer of 1985

they were supposed to have movie nights every saturday and bike to school together and copy each other’s homework and skip class to go on road trips and swim at lovers lake as soon as it started to warm up in the spring and take turns bothering each other at work when they all got summer jobs and apply for college together and help each other talk through their future plans and go to prom and take a senior trip to california all piled in lucas’s car

Why is love so unattainable? Even if u did infact manage to obtain it, it slowly disappears, just like the fireworks—it slowly sparks then blows up to shine in its peak, and then...just gone in a blink of an eye.
