It's been a while, but Snapecast is back to celebrate our 20th anniversary!
have had multiple conversations with real life lesbians who are not fandom people in the slightest, who have watched heated rivalry and had it take over their whole lives and brains, and they’re like “oh my god i don’t know what’s wrong with me is this a mental health crisis?? like i’ve never felt this way” like they’re actually slightly freaked out. and there’s no easy or non-condescending way to communicate that yeah no you’re fine. that’s just what yaoi fandom bullshit is like. it’s like trying sugar for the first time or something. welcome to the party
this edit changed my life guys
Loving this!
Look, I'm thrilled that the MM romance genre is getting such a glow up right now but I am NOT thrilled to see a thousand thinkpieces and podcast "deep dives" into This Phenomenon Of Women Liking Gay Romance, or even less interesting Hey There's Gay Romance That Exists like bruh, we've been over this and over this and y'all acting like you're uncovering new and uncharted media consumption ground is boring AF.
someone put that man behind the wheel of a forklift before i do it myself
first day at forklift school! our boy grew up so fast 😢
tfw you're hot and sexy and have a forklift license 😍🤤🥵
Hooked on the Snowbaz
I can’t believe it took me this long, but I finally read all of the Simon Snow series and am devouring fic from that fandom. If any of my HP friends over here are active in the World of Mages let me know. I love how Snowbaz is sort of the best parts of Drarry and Snarry in one awkwardly adorable canonical ship.
Announcing Lubricus 2020: The Reunion!
Professor Snape is not pleased, but the slashy gang who brought you Lubricus in 2011 and 2012 is back and better than ever! Lubricus 2020: The Reunion will be a slash-filled weekend chock full of squee, old friends and new, smut, arts/crafts, food, dancing, and so much more! Programming is entirely attendee-driven, so that means you get to decide what kind of content you want to have at the con. Here are the key details you need to know…
Dates: October 29, 2020 to November 1, 2020 Location: Crowne Plaza Portland Costs: Base registration starts at $140 with increasing levels of sponsorship registration
Lubricus is organized by By Fans 4 Fans LLC, a group of real-life slash fans who wanted to see more slashy programming at mainstream HP cons. We aim to keep pricing low and slashy squee high.
This time around we’re pleased to announce that Lubricus 2020 will be mutlifandom! In addition to Harry Potter, we’re ready to fulfill all of your slashy needs for Doctor Who, Marvel/Avengers, Sherlock, Star Trek, Star Wars, Supernatural, and many more. Because the attendees influence the programming, you get to decide!
Registration opens on February 1, 2020 at noon PST. So buckle up, get those programming ideas flowing, pack your bags, and be ready for an all out slash-filled weekend of fun and well mannered frivolity! Also Happy Birthday Professor Snape!
Come do slashy stuff with us in October!
Beauty and the Beast || 1980s
After seeing the love action movie I might need to rewatch this
I can't say I don't relate to this list
The cast of GIRLS for Glamour USA
Hannah on holiday
America this past week is like:
that’s it that’s the entire series
Jurassic Park is so quality like the little girl is the hacker, the main woman is sensibly dressed & smart & allowed to have agency w/o people being like “no women can’t do that thing”, and Jeff Goldblum is the one who’s shirt is sexily open & who’s injury causes him to lie in a strategic model pose to his best advantage. Plus of course the cgi & robotics are incredible
I never thought of it this way but it is so true.
